Hong Kong (China) actor Louis Koo has just posted an official announcement on his personal Instagram account, which has approximately 932,000 followers, to warn about the proliferation of impersonations related to him and his management company.
Louis Koo speaks out against the issue of artist impersonation.
In a post in Chinese titled "Solemn Clarification," Louis Koo posted an image of a notice from his management company, One Cool, stating that recently, several accounts on the Threads platform have been impersonating the actor's assistant to organize gift-giving activities, causing public misunderstanding.
The statement clearly said: "Our company is the sole legal representative of Louis Koo, managing his performances, commercial endorsements, and copyrighted products." The company emphasized that accounts claiming to be his assistants or close associates are not affiliated with them.
The actor's representative denied ever organizing or authorizing any individual to conduct "fan gift-giving," "reward giveaways," or similar programs on social media. According to the post, the information currently circulating is "completely fabricated" and appears to be a deliberate attempt to mislead public opinion.

The management company asserts that all information related to "gift-giving" or "reward" programs bearing Louis Koo's name is unofficial.

In addition to denying the rumors, the management company also announced that it would take legal action against individuals who impersonate the artist and damage their reputation and credibility. At the end of the announcement, the company urged fans to be vigilant and not trust unofficial sources of information to avoid being scammed or suffering financial losses.
The post quickly attracted attention from the online community. Many viewers left comments expressing concern about the increasing prevalence of artist impersonation on social media.
This isn't the first time Chinese artists have spoken out about being impersonated on social media. Previously, many Chinese actors and singers have warned audiences about fake accounts impersonating their assistants, managers, or crew members to solicit money, investments, or participation in private chat groups.
