Rear Admiral Le Ba Quan, Deputy Commander of the Navy, along with leaders of Task Force No. 12, visited the soldiers at the DK1/8 offshore platform.
The image of the resilient offshore platform amidst the vast ocean and the stories of storms and losses deeply moved the members of the delegation. The soldiers on the offshore platform became a living symbol of Vietnam's willpower and courage in the new era.
Here, the delegation heard stories about major storms and huge waves that could engulf the offshore platforms. But despite all that, the officers and soldiers remained steadfast, successfully completing their missions. There were stories of silent sacrifice, of comrades who forever rest in the depths of the sea… leaving many members of the delegation speechless with emotion.
Colonel Vo Thanh Le, Provincial Party Committee member, Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, and the Ca Mau delegation presented gifts to the soldiers at the DK1/8 offshore platform.

The image of the naval soldiers, the steadfast officers and soldiers of the offshore platforms amidst the vast ocean with their weapons worn thin, is a beautiful symbol of revolutionary heroism in the new era, a "living landmark" affirming the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland.
During the visit, the delegations also presented gifts from the mainland to the officers and soldiers at the DK1 platform, expressing their love and affection, and offering encouragement and motivation to help them firmly defend the sovereignty of the homeland's seas and islands.

The delegation also had the opportunity to admire a water cannon display, a greeting from the KN 491 ship to the DK1/8 platform. During the farewell moment, the entire crew held a direct call between the KN 491 ship and the platform – a call that no delegate wanted to hang up. Songs and melodies shared over the phone connected those on the mainland with those on the platform. This parting was extraordinary; although they couldn't see each other or hug, the songs and melodies evoked strong emotions in the delegates.
Rear Admiral Le Ba Quan, Deputy Commander of the Navy and Head of Task Force No. 12, presented the Badge for the Cause of Protecting Maritime Sovereignty to the leaders of the provinces and cities.
The soldiers' promise, "As long as there are people, there will be offshore platforms," left a deep impression on the delegation.
At the end of the trip, the delegation held a summary and evaluation of the activities; at the same time, they awarded the Truong Sa Soldier Badge and the Badge for the Cause of Protecting Maritime Sovereignty to the delegates, recognizing their contributions to this meaningful journey.
