Continue to effectively implement science and technology tasks

Accordingly, the Department has implemented scientific and technological tasks associated with the development of key products of the province. Thanks to that, it contributes to increasing the added value and competitiveness of the products. At the same time, the products have specific application addresses, meeting the urgent needs of units, localities and enterprises.

Specifically, the unit has focused on implementing tasks in the fields of science, technology and engineering; high-tech agricultural science; application of new technology for deep processing of agricultural products and medicinal plants. Some outstanding results include: Propagating golden orchids in the laboratory; propagating and monitoring primroses in the laboratory; researching and proposing solutions to enhance the value chain of products such as green tea extract, Solanum procumbens extract and coffee in Quang Tri; perfecting the processes of artificial seed production and commercial farming of safe food-producing mud loach in Quang Tri province...

The Department has monitored and managed the implementation of 105 provincial-level topics/projects transferred from previous years and newly approved for implementation in 2025 (of which 75 provincial-level topics/projects and 30 topics/projects are under the approval of the Director of the Department of Science and Technology). Accepted 23 provincial-level topics/projects and transferred the results of 11 topics and projects to departments, branches, localities and organizations for practical application.

The unit has also deployed the sequence of work contents for the list of approved science and technology tasks to be implemented in 2025 and activities to consider and recognize the effectiveness of application, replication ability, and scope of influence of initiatives, scientific topics, scientific projects, and science and technology works of Quang Tri province.

In the last months of 2025, the Department of Science and Technology will continue to carry out key tasks related to the field of science and technology, such as: Organizing the monitoring and inspection of the application of agencies and units that have received the transfer of science and technology tasks; synthesizing results, having orientations for organizing research and transferring results in the coming time; studying the breakthrough policies of Resolution No. 193/2025/QH15 of the National Assembly to advise on the promulgation of local policy mechanisms, helping to remove barriers in the legal corridor for organizations and individuals participating in scientific research. At the same time, the Department will advise on the selection of science and technology tasks in 2025 and organize the signing of contracts and implementation.
