TikToker Vo Ha Linh regrets getting a tattoo.

"At 35 years old, my biggest regret is probably my tattoos. I deeply regret it," said Vo Ha Linh, a TikToker and KOC, in a video posted on her channel, which has 5.6 million followers, on May 27th.

She explained that no matter how expensive the clothes or designer brands are, having a large tattoo on your body still makes you feel "cheap."

In a YouTube video from six years ago, Vo Ha Linh revealed the tattoos on her body. At the time, she said she had five tattoos, most notably a large lotus flower tattoo on her back (between her shoulder blades) and a large rose tattoo on her bicep.

"If there were a treatment now that could remove tattoos without leaving keloid scars, I think I would try to get them removed no matter how expensive it was," she said. In the more than one-minute clip, the TikToker repeatedly uses the word "regret" when referring to her past decision to get a tattoo.

KOC, with millions of fans, says that when she was younger, she thought tattoos were "cool," and her university was very liberal about students pursuing their individuality; tattoos or dyeing hair blue or red were considered normal.

"Young people, before you let the tattoo artist put that needle on your body, regardless of the location or size of the design, you should watch this video," she advised.

Vo Ha Linh also emphasized that she understands that expressing this view will cause controversy and may even lead to criticism.

The clip by the TikToker from Nghe An quickly attracted over 1 million views in just a few hours, simultaneously sparking controversy. Some argued that there was nothing to regret, viewing tattoos as a way to express individuality. Meanwhile, many agreed with Vo Ha Linh's viewpoint, sharing similar experiences and feelings.

"I'm 27 years old, and your regret is also mine. At 20, because of a tattoo, I missed the opportunity to become a teacher. At 25, because of that same tattoo, I missed the opportunity to get a job that many people dream of," "I'm the same way. Even now, at my age, I don't dare wear backless dresses because I'm embarrassed," netizens expressed.

The comments also pointed out that Vo Ha Linh was only expressing her personal opinion, and that she regretted having a large tattoo, and had no intention of criticizing anyone.
