On the afternoon of September 28, Mr. Le Viet Thang, Chairman of the People's Committee of Phuoc Nang Commune, said that out of more than 110 local people reported "lost contact" while working in the fields before storm No. 10, nearly 70 people have returned home safely.

According to Mr. Thang, these people went into the forest to work on the fields about 10 days ago, when there was no information about the storm. After checking, local authorities discovered that dozens of people were still staying in the huts to cultivate and graze cattle.

“Although we cannot contact them directly, we know through their relatives that they are safe. The authorities have asked their relatives and the village chief to warn people not to risk swimming across rivers and streams when the water level is rising,” said Mr. Thang.

In his personal opinion, Mr. Thang said that many solidly built huts can ensure safety for people in a short time.

In Phuoc Chanh commune, a local leader informed that previously, the commune government recorded that 9 people had "lost contact" while working in the fields, but now all have returned home safely.
