( Quang Ngai Newspaper) - Over the past month, many products and businesses of Quang Ngai have participated in large-scale fairs and markets held in the province and abroad. Through these activities, the food industry of the Indian-Tea land has many opportunities to reach out and conquer consumers.

Promote products abroad

Quang Ngai Sugar Joint Stock Company has just finished participating in the 2024 Taipei International Food Fair (Food Taipei 2024) with high expectations. The products that the company brought to Taipei (Taiwan, China) to display and introduce include confectionery, Vinasoy soy milk, Thach Bich mineral water, Dung Quat beer, sugar and malt. The company representative said that during the fair, the company's booth welcomed 40 delegations of famous import and export enterprises in the world to learn about and promote trade cooperation. After the fair, the company immediately started negotiating with these partners to build practical, effective and sustainable cooperative relationships.

The Taipei International Food Fair is one of the leading food fairs in Asia, held annually. This fair is co-organized by the Trade Promotion Agency ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ), taking place from June 26 to 29, at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center. The fair brings together more than 5,000 booths of 2,000 enterprises, domestic and international buyers from 33 countries around the world. Among them, there are many countries with strengths in the food industry such as: USA, Canada, Thailand, Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Finland, France, India...

Vietnam has 19 enterprises participating in the fair; of which, Quang Ngai has 1 enterprise, Quang Ngai Sugar Joint Stock Company. The displayed and introduced products are very diverse, including agricultural products, raw seafood and processed seafood; processed foods and beverages. According to the representative of Quang Ngai Sugar Joint Stock Company, this event has strong attraction, is a place to effectively connect food manufacturers and traders with domestic distribution systems and importers around the world. Participating in the fair, the company has the opportunity to seek business transactions, promote the company's national brands in the Taiwanese and world markets. This is also a practical activity to help the company realize its strategy of exporting milk, confectionery, sugar, malt, and beer to Taiwan. At the same time, from the Taiwanese market, the company's products will continue to transit and access major markets around the world.

Spread to rural markets

In 2024, the Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion (Department of Industry and Trade) will focus on innovating the trade promotion program. Notably, the fair to bring Vietnamese goods to rural areas will be changed to "Vietnamese goods sales activities in rural areas". Along with that, the Center will actively support business households, enterprises, and cooperatives in the province specializing in rural food production to bring quality goods to localities. Thereby, promoting rural industrial products in rural areas, creating opportunities for people to access and purchase quality goods that suit their preferences and consumption needs. The selection of locations to organize events is also carefully calculated, to ensure both display space and convenience for people to visit and shop.

Up to now, the Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion has organized 2 Vietnamese sales points in rural areas, which are considered practical and effective. Those are the sales points in Pho Chau commune (Duc Pho town) and Chau O town (Binh Son). Director of Muoi Quy Production, Trade and Service One Member Co., Ltd. Dao Trong Muoi said, we have brought Muoi Quy fish sauce products to participate in activities like this many times. However, this time I noticed a big change in the way of organization, bringing good effects. The space is suitable and the communication work before the event takes place is focused. In particular, the awarding of honor plaques to enterprises, cooperatives, and business households at the event is a recognition of consumers' trust in the product. From there, it creates motivation for business owners and production and business establishments to constantly strive, innovate and improve product quality.

Director of the Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion Nguyen Trung Truc emphasized that over the past 10 years, the implementation of Vietnamese goods sales activities in rural areas has brought positive results. However, to aim for new goals, close to the culture of consuming Vietnamese goods in rural areas, the Center will innovate this activity, contributing to encouraging production, stimulating consumption and creating opportunities for rural products of Quang Ngai to reach further.
