Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee deploys Party building work in 2024

This morning, January 19, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee held a conference to review Party building work in 2023 and deploy tasks for 2024. The entire political system has successfully implemented its set goals and tasks.

Speaking at the conference, Provincial Party Secretary Le Quang Tung acknowledged and commended the results achieved by Party committees, party organizations, agencies, units and localities in 2023.

Regarding the tasks for 2024, the Provincial Party Secretary requested that Party committees at all levels focus on effectively implementing the resolutions, directives and conclusions of the Central Committee and the Provincial Party Committee, while continuing to innovate the Party's leadership methods in accordance with local realities, ensuring that the entire political system focuses on successfully implementing the goals and tasks set out by Party congresses at all levels for the 2020-2025 term.

In political and ideological work, continue to innovate and improve the quality and effectiveness of organizing research, study, dissemination and propaganda of the Party's resolutions, directives, conclusions and regulations in a practical and effective manner. Actively monitor and grasp the ideological situation and public opinion as well as have solutions to improve the quality of study, research and dissemination of the Party's resolutions and directives. Resolutely prevent, repel and strictly handle cadres and Party members who have degraded in political ideology, ethics and lifestyle, and manifested "self-evolution" and "self-transformation"; strengthen the protection of the Party's ideological foundation and fight against erroneous and hostile viewpoints.

Along with that, regularly take care of Party building in terms of organization and cadres to meet the requirements of tasks in the new period as well as effectively implement the project and resolution of the Provincial Party Committee on improving the quality of the political system at the grassroots level, and be more persistent and determined in implementing solutions to promote the development of Party members.

Focus on comprehensively, seriously and effectively implementing the tasks of inspection and supervision according to regulations, focusing on inspection when there are signs of violations, strengthening thematic supervision to detect, prevent, and warn of violations and shortcomings of cadres, party members and party organizations.

Party committees, internal affairs agencies, and the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negative Behavior must identify the fight against corruption and negative behavior as one of the key tasks and breakthroughs with the motto of resolutely and persistently fighting, preventing, and repelling corruption.

Mass mobilization work must continue to be innovated, quality must be improved, bringing about real, clear results, determination, and drastic resolution of new and difficult issues at the local level. The Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations must continue to innovate the content and methods of operation, effectively carry out supervision and social criticism.

Regarding the commitment to the responsibility of the leader, it is necessary to have higher political determination, strongly innovate leadership and management thinking, link leadership and management results with specific products, and successfully complete the tasks of the locality and unit...

Many positive results in Party building work

In 2023, closely following the central government's guidelines and directions and the local practical situation, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and Party committees at all levels will promptly develop annual and monthly work programs to organize timely, comprehensive and effective implementation, while strengthening decentralization, delegation of authority, and control of power, promoting the positivity and proactiveness of cadres and civil servants to perform their tasks well.

Party committees at all levels focus on leading and directing propaganda and political and ideologicaleducation work as well as grasping public opinion, promptly orienting information and organizing scientific seminars and activities to celebrate major holidays of the homeland and the country. Implementing many solutions to protect the Party's ideological foundation, fighting and refuting wrong and hostile viewpoints, successfully organizing the writing contest on protecting the Party's ideological foundation in 2023, achieving high results.

The work of Party organization and building has achieved many important results. Party committees at all levels continue to lead and direct the implementation of the work of arranging and organizing the apparatus, streamlining the payroll associated with restructuring the team of cadres, civil servants and public employees. The work of planning and perfecting the leadership and management positions at all levels has been carried out promptly, ensuring regulations. The work of creating sources and developing party members has been focused on, in which attention has been paid to recruiting party members in high schools, among civil servants and workers in the health and education sectors.

The Provincial Party Committee focused on leading and directing Party committees, Party organizations and Inspection Commissions at all levels in the province to implement quite synchronously and comprehensively the tasks of inspection, supervision and disciplinary enforcement according to the provisions of the Party Charter. At the same time, it promptly revised, supplemented and issued new regulations and guidelines on inspection, supervision and handling of denunciations of Party organizations and Party members for synchronous implementation in the province. During the year, Party committees at all levels disciplined 3 Party organizations by reprimand and disciplined 330 Party members.

Internal affairs, anti-corruption, negativity and judicial reform have many positive changes. The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee maintains internal affairs meetings, meetings and works with prosecution agencies to direct the handling of a number of complicated cases and incidents that have emerged in the area, especially cases and incidents of public concern. The work of receiving citizens is maintained regularly, the work of handling petitions and letters sent by citizens to the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee is carried out promptly and in accordance with regulations, contributing to limiting the occurrence of petitions and complaints that go beyond the level.

The mass mobilization work of the political system is implemented synchronously in all fields. The mass mobilization system from the province to the grassroots actively and proactively grasps the ideological situation and people's lives, mobilizes people to develop socio-economy and build new rural areas.

The province's GRDP growth rate for the whole year reached 6.68%.

Doing well the Party building work has created a basic premise for Party committees at all levels to improve their leadership capacity and direct the implementation of socio-economic development goals, ensuring national defense and security in 2023 of the province. Accordingly, of the 9 main targets, 7 targets were achieved and exceeded, 2 targets were close to the plan. The province's GRDP growth rate for the whole year reached 6.68%, GRDP per capita reached 71 million VND/person; the state budget revenue was 3,800 billion VND.

Agricultural production continued to have positive changes, with a growth rate of 5.41%, and productivity and output of most crops and livestock increased. National target programs were directed and implemented. The growth rate of industry reached 7.95%, trade and services gradually recovered, with a growth rate of 6.41%. Cultural and social fields continued to be consolidated and developed, achieving clear results, especially the successful organization of major anniversaries of the homeland and country.

The conference spent most of its time discussing, pointing out the causes of the results achieved as well as the existing problems, limitations and sharing experiences in Party building work, site clearance work to build programs and projects of the province... At the same time, it identified 6 key tasks of Party building work in 2024.

At the conference, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee Phan Van Phung announced the decision of the Secretariat appointing Colonel Nguyen Duc Hai, Director of the Provincial Police Department, to join the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, for the 2020-2025 term; the decision of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee appointing Colonel Nguyen Duc Hai, member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Director of the Provincial Police Department, to join the Party Committee, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, and hold the position of Secretary of the Provincial Police Party Committee, the 2020-2025 term.

The conference organized the signing of a commitment of responsibility of the collective and heads of units under the Provincial Party Committee with the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee in 2024.

In recognition of the achievements, the Provincial Party Committee awarded certificates of merit to 20 collectives and 30 individuals for their outstanding achievements in Party building work in 2023.
