Seminar on evaluating Lai Chau tourism products

(BLC) - As part of the series of events of the 1st Cultural Festival of Ethnic Groups with a population of less than 10,000 people, Lai Chau Tourism - Culture Week 2023, on the morning of November 5, at Hoang Nham Hotel, a Seminar on evaluating Lai Chau tourism products took place.

At the seminar, delegates watched a report introducing the potential, advantages and tourist destinations in Lai Chau province. At the same time, evaluate the products, the ability to exploit, develop and connect Lai Chau tourism products with domestic localities and the provinces of Northern Laos to introduce and promote new destinations and tourism products and services of Lai Chau province to travel agencies, media agencies nationwide; tourism service businesses in 3 provinces of Northern Laos (Phong Sa Ly, U Dom Xay, Luang Prabang).

From there, promote communication of Lai Chau destinations to domestic and international tourists, and at the same time create favorable conditions for tourism service businesses in Lai Chau to connect with travel agencies to build tour programs to bring visitors to Lai Chau after the event.

Comrade Tong Thanh Hai - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee delivered a welcome speech at the discussion.

Speaking at the seminar, Comrade Tong Thanh Hai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee shared: Lai Chau has majestic and pristine natural scenery, legendary roads, high mountain peaks among the top in Vietnam and Southeast Asia, many famous tourist attractions and rich and diverse cultural identities of 20 ethnic groups living together; is a bridge between two famous tourist destinations SaPa and Dien Bien Phu; people are gentle, friendly and hospitable. However, Lai Chau tourism has not yet developed commensurate with its existing potential and advantages.

Lai Chau province is making efforts to improve and build an open investment and business environment; provincial leaders always listen, discuss, and promptly resolve difficulties and obstacles of businesses. Lai Chau tourism aims to strive to soon make "Lai Chau an attractive tourist destination in the Northwest region", a highlight for tourists on their journey to explore the Northwest; build quality, branded tourism products on the map of Vietnam Tourism.

At the seminar, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hoped to receive many contributions and frank sharing from professional agencies, especially travel agencies from Laos and travel agencies from the three regions of North - Central - South. With the spirit of listening and absorbing multi-dimensional opinions, Lai Chau tourism industry will have breakthrough development policies; soon achieve the goal of connecting Lai Chau tourism products with the chain of tourism products in the Northwest region.

Also at the seminar, delegates and representatives of travel businesses spoke and discussed the province's potentials and advantages; issues that Lai Chau province needs to adjust and change in implementation methods and promotion methods; training local human resources to become tour guides; the level and attitude of customer service of organizations and individuals participating in tourism; the quality of tourism products must be unique and distinct, with a blend of tradition and modernity; promoting cooperation with localities to strongly develop tourism; Lai Chau needs to develop tourism systematically, plan long-term and sustainable development strategies, develop community tourism villages, resort and spiritual tourism products, etc.

Lai Chau province accepts comments and suggestions from professional agencies, travel businesses, and media agencies to continue to improve and enhance the quality of Lai Chau tourism products and services to meet market demand and tourism development trends in the coming time.
