The 600 billion VND road project in Hoa Binh is one of the province's key transport projects, expected to create momentum to promote local socio-economic development.

The project of connecting road from Tran Hung Dao street to Dan Chu ward connecting National Highway 6 has an investment capital of 600 billion VND. The investor of the project is the Department of Transport of Hoa Binh province (now the Department of Construction of Hoa Binh province). The Management Board of Investment and Construction of Traffic Works of Hoa Binh province is assigned to manage the project.

This is one of the key projects of Hoa Binh province, starting construction in March 2022, expected to create momentum to promote local socio-economic development.

Project scale, construction of a route with a total length of about 4.4 km; including 3 sections: Section 1 from Tran Hung Dao Street to the central island intersection (km2+400) is 2.4 km long. Section 2 from the central island intersection (km2+400) to National Highway 6 (at km74+850) is 0.7 km long and Section 3 from the central island intersection (km2+400) to National Highway 6 (at Km76+480).

According to Dan Viet reporter, currently, Cham stream bridge and Planning road overpass (including reinforced concrete retaining wall of approach road) have basically completed construction.

The road drainage system is being completed by contractors.

At the project site, contractors are concentrating machinery, equipment and human resources to speed up construction progress at locations where the site has been handed over, striving to complete on schedule and ensure quality.

Workers are working hard to speed up the construction progress. It is known that up to now, the volume of items on the route has reached 176.85/385.5 billion VND, equivalent to 45.88% of the contract value.

According to the Management Board of Investment and Construction of Traffic Works in Hoa Binh Province, the most difficult task so far is still site clearance. Currently, there are still about 1.52/4.36 km of the route, with an area of ​​6.2/21.7 hectares. Of which, Dan Chu Ward still has 0.74/15.7 hectares; Thai Binh Ward still has 0.65/1.14 hectares; Phuong Lam Ward still has 4.87/4.87 hectares, leading to contractors not having a clear site for construction.

Regarding the approved land source for the project, it is from the surplus land from the Hoa Binh - Xuan Mai Clean Water Plant project of about 200,000 m3 and another 370,000 m3 from the surplus land of other projects in Hoa Binh city. Up to now, the surplus land from the Hoa Binh - Xuan Mai Clean Water Plant project has been basically exploited, the remaining part is expected to be exploited from the surplus land of the Road connecting National Highway 6 to Doc Lap, Du Sang, and Road 12B. However, the first section of this project is expected to have surplus land but has not yet completed site clearance.

To check the progress of this project, recently, the Standing Committee of the Hoa Binh Provincial Party Committee assigned the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee to lead the Provincial People's Committee to direct the Department of Construction to direct the construction unit to urgently develop a project construction plan with a specific schedule; focus on mobilizing human resources, machinery, and equipment to speed up the construction progress, ensuring the completion of the project before August 30, and organize the inauguration before September 2 to celebrate the 18th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.

The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee requested the Standing Committee of the Hoa Binh City Party Committee to lead the Hoa Binh City People's Committee to coordinate with the Department of Construction and relevant agencies and units to speed up the progress of site clearance, ensuring the completion of the entire route before April 30 to hand over the site to the investor for project construction.

"Not only me, but everyone in Dan Chu ward also hopes that the project will be completed soon. From there, it will contribute to changing the face and creating momentum to promote the socio-economic development of the locality," Nguyen Thanh Dan, a resident of Dan Chu ward, Hoa Binh city, shared with Dan Viet reporter.
