Honoring outstanding works created by composers in the period 2017-2022

On the afternoon of August 20, in Hanoi, the Center for Supporting Literary and Artistic Creation, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced typical literary and artistic works and projects created from 2017 - 2022 at the Creation Houses of the Center for Supporting Literary and Artistic Creation.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tran Ngoc Khoi, Acting Director of the Center for Supporting Literary and Artistic Creation, said that over the years, the Center for Supporting Literary and Artistic Creation has affirmed its role in gathering and fostering creative artistic talents from all over the country. With the mission of creating favorable conditions in terms of facilities and a professional artistic creative environment, the Center has been and is a trusted address for artists to come, contemplate and sublimate their creativity.

This is the second time the Center has organized a ceremony to announce outstanding literary and artistic works and projects created at the Writers' Houses organized by the Center for Supporting Literary and Artistic Creation. From 2017 to 2022, the Center has successfully organized 338 comprehensive writing camps and 64 trips for artists to create in depth at 7 Writers' Houses: Tam Dao, Dai Lai, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Da Lat, Vung Tau and Can Tho Writers' House. Each year, an average of 50 - 70 writing camps are held, gathering nearly 1,000 artists and nearly 6,000 writers and artists.

From the creative camps, more than 19,000 works of different genres were born. Many works have been published, staged, performed, exhibited, and received many prestigious awards. Many works have met the increasing needs and tastes of the public, contributing to enriching the spiritual life of the people. In this announcement ceremony, the Center selected typical and outstanding works and excerpts sent by units to publish two books "Sowing Seeds 3" and "Sowing Seeds 4".

The summary report of the Center for Supporting Literary and Artistic Creation shows that in the period of 2017-2022, the Center has coordinated with the Central Literature and Art Associations and provinces, cities, agencies and units under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and a number of units of the armed forces to organize 338 general creative camps at the Creative Houses and 64 turns of artists to create in depth. During this period, 5,555 turns of artists participated in the creative camps, creating 19,157 works, including: Literature (9,654 works); Fine Arts (1,936 works); Photography (4,311 works); Music (1,258 works); Theater (455 works); Cinema (390 works); Architecture (81 works); Folklore (280 works); Literature and art of ethnic minorities (447 works); Dance (315 works). Of which, 283 works have won awards at domestic and international competitions, recognized through certificates of merit from the central and local levels.

Based on the requests of literary and artistic associations, agencies and units, at the ceremony, the Organizing Committee honored 34 works among the works that have been published and won the above awards.
