The Organizing Committee especially encourages works that are innovative and creative in their expression and exploration of stories about Thang Long - Hanoi, in order to honor the beauty and cultural values of the land of a thousand years of civilization.
According to screenwriter Bành Thị Mai Phương - President of the Hanoi Cinema Association, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Hanoi Short Film Festival 2024, this is the first time the Hanoi Cinema Association has organized such a big event. The event not only aims to honor outstanding works on the subject of Thang Long - Hanoi but also provides an opportunity for young filmmakers to try their hand and be creative.
The opening ceremony of the Film Festival will take place on the evening of August 26 and the closing ceremony and award ceremony will be held on the evening of August 28 at Kim Dong Cinema, 19 Hang Bai, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi. In particular, on August 24, the Organizing Committee will have a free screening of the competing films from 9am at Kim Dong Cinema, open to the public and cinema lovers in the capital to enjoy outstanding works.
In addition to the film screenings, the festival also includes other notable activities such as film talks, short film production, and screenings of short films made by Hanoi artists.
This will be an opportunity for filmmakers, audiences and cinema lovers to meet, exchange and learn, contributing to promoting the development of the capital's cinema industry.
