General Secretary To Lam attends the political and artistic program "Under the glorious flag"

As one of the key art activities on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, the program was broadcast live from three locations: Ba Dinh Square ( Hanoi Capital), Ngo Mon Square (Hue City) and Thu Thiem Creative Park (Ho Chi Minh City).

General Secretary To Lam, Secretary of the Central Military Commission; Politburo member, Permanent Secretary of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu attended the program at the Hanoi bridge point.

Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the program at the Hue city bridge.

Attending the program at the Ho Chi Minh City bridge point was Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man.

Also attending the program at three locations were Politburo members, Party Central Committee Secretaries, Party Central Committee members, Vice Presidents, Vice Presidents of the National Assembly, Deputy Prime Ministers; leaders of the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Public Security and representatives of central and local departments, ministries, branches and organizations; 1,000 officers and soldiers will participate in the parade and marching mission at the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, veterans, historical witnesses...

Directed by the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army and produced by the Army Radio and Television Center, "Under the Glorious Flag" is a political art epic, a manifesto with emotions and images about patriotism, the desire for peace, the Vietnamese mettle throughout the history of building and defending the country; about "Uncle Ho's Soldiers" - a typical image of the national value system, converging the spirit of protection, patriotism, loyalty, dedication, and selflessness for the people.

Through live television broadcast from three points representing three regions of the country: Hanoi - Hue - Ho Chi Minh City, the program brings a message of connection like the beats of the same national heart, carrying sounds from peace to the flames of war, from mother's lullabies to oaths on the battlefield and undying faith under the glorious national flag.

With performances of famous songs combined with elaborately choreographed singing and dancing, interspersed with scenes, component reports..., the program depicted and affirmed the steadfastness, resilience, courage, and acceptance of sacrifice and hardship of generations of officers and soldiers of the Vietnam People's Army through the ages, always ready to fight and sacrifice for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, for the happiness of the people. Under the glorious flag, the Vietnam People's Army is always the vanguard force, a solid citadel, a fulcrum, and a firm belief of the Party, the country and the people.

One of the special highlights of the program is live footage of an actual changing of the guard by the honor guard at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum.

The sacred space has no sound or music, only the footsteps of the soldiers at Uncle Ho's Mausoleum. This special changing of the guard is not only a daily ritual of the honor guard, but also a moment of convergence of respect and gratitude of millions of Vietnamese hearts towards President Ho Chi Minh. Every movement, every look of the soldier standing guard is an immortal oath: to guard the peaceful sleep of Him - the beloved Father of the nation. After the changing of the guard ends, the melody of the song "We guard the sleep of Him" is played, the singer does not sing on stage but sings right in front of the door of Uncle Ho's Mausoleum.

The program uses Visual LED effects, hologram projection, AR, lighting effects, and elaborately staged sounds; combining symphonic music, light music, rock, rap, and contemporary dance. Songs such as: "Vietnam brocade", "Lullaby of the open land", "Front footprints", "Party flag", "Southern resistance", "Winter coat", "National defense group", "Tu nguyen", mashup "Love song - Love you"... are renewed, staged in a modern way, performed by many famous singers inside and outside the Army. All create a multi-layered art space, where the audience not only watches, but also lives in history, feels emotions and pride, recalls heroic historical periods and brilliant milestones in the journey of defending the country, connecting the past, present and future...

As a fusion of expressive art and modern performance technology, the program has contributed to creating a sacred connection of the national soul, from the thousand-year-old capital, the ancient capital with the quintessence of traditional culture, to the dynamic city named after Uncle Ho, weaving a vivid picture of a Vietnam united in diversity, harmoniously connected in identity.

Thereby, honoring the historical values, cultural beauty, noble values of Uncle Ho's soldiers, the heights and depths of Vietnamese values in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland; depicting the image and feats of Uncle Ho's soldiers; evoking revolutionary ideals. At the same time, entrusting responsibility, belief and aspiration to contribute to the young generation; affirming the spirit: "Under the glorious flag" we are one: One nation; one belief; one will and one aspiration to reach the future; affirming the solid support of the Party, the country and the people is the heroic Vietnam People's Army.
