On the morning of August 4, General Secretary To Lam met with typical advanced People's Public Security officers attending the 9th Emulation Congress for National Security.

Also attending were Minister of Public Security - General Luong Tam Quang and many leaders of the Party, State, ministries and branches.

Especially 246 advanced models in the People's Public Security and forces participating in protecting security and order at the grassroots level.

According to the Ministry of Public Security, from emulation movements, thousands of shining examples have emerged demonstrating bravery, intelligence, courage, dedication, creativity, achieving many feats and outstanding achievements, typically receiving noble awards.

Of these, 44 groups and individuals were awarded or posthumously awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces, 78 Military Exploit Medals, 735 Feat Medals, 59 Labor Medals, more than 3,000 Fatherland Protection Medals, 3 Bravery Medals and tens of thousands of groups and individuals were commended at all levels.

In particular, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day, the People's Public Security force was awarded the Gold Star Order for the 5th time.
