Prime Minister: PVN needs to rise to the top 5 Southeast Asian enterprises

(Dan Tri) - The Prime Minister requested PVN to research and propose breakthrough development mechanisms and policies, striving to be among the top 5 enterprises in Southeast Asia, with growth 1.5 times higher than the general economic growth rate.

At the 4th Congress of the Party Committee of the Vietnam National Industry and Energy Group ( Petrovietnam - PVN), term 2025-2030, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated Petrovietnam's achievements in the country's development over the past 5 years.

"Will is gathered, knowledge is enhanced, value is increased, cooperation is widespread, trust is spread, spirit is warrior, humanity is full, aspiration is far-reaching, the future is bright," the Prime Minister summarized Petrovietnam's efforts and achievements.

The Head of Government affirmed that PVN deserves to be a pillar of national energy and industry; a major economic driving force, directly contributing to economic growth and State budget revenue; a pioneer in green transformation; an innovative, dynamic, and effective model, capable of implementing a long-term development strategy until 2030, with a vision to 2045.

The Prime Minister hopes that the group will set higher goals than the set ones, and request the group to research and propose appropriate mechanisms and policies, develop more breakthroughs, and strive to be among the top 5 enterprises in Southeast Asia.

The Government leader requested the group to pioneer innovation and digital transformation according to Resolution 57; actively integrate and expand the market according to Resolution 59; promote the private economy according to Resolution 68 and contribute to perfecting the law according to Resolution 66, in the spirit of serving the common interest and opposing local interests.

The Prime Minister also asked the group to change its thinking, dare to think, dare to do, act decisively, constantly learn and improve its qualifications. Resources come from thinking and vision; motivation comes from innovation and creativity; strength comes from people and businesses. Nothing is impossible if you are determined, know how to do it and act at the right time.

The head of the Government requested PVN to focus on Party building, improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the entire Party organization. Implement modern management, optimize production efficiency, flexibly respond to the market; take advantage of restructuring the supply chain for sustainable development, ensure energy security and social security. The Prime Minister requested the group to grow 1.5 times faster than the country's overall economic growth rate.

He also emphasized that the group needs to closely follow the Party's resolutions, concretize them into feasible and effective action plans, and work decisively. At the same time, the Congress needs to promote democracy and intelligence, contribute profound comments to the Party documents and the 14th Congress, and elect a new Executive Committee with sufficient capacity and qualities to successfully complete its tasks.
