Prime Minister: PVN needs to rise to the top 5 Southeast Asian enterprises.

(Dan Tri Newspaper) - The Prime Minister requested PVN to research and propose breakthrough development mechanisms and policies, striving to be among the top 5 enterprises in Southeast Asia, and achieving a growth rate 1.5 times higher than the overall economic growth rate.

At the 4th Congress of the Party Committee of the Vietnam National Energy and Industry Group ( Petrovietnam - PVN), for the term 2025-2030, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated Petrovietnam's achievements in the country's development over the past five years.

"Willpower converges, knowledge is enhanced, value increases, cooperation is widespread, trust spreads, spirit is warrior-like, humanity is abundant, aspirations reach far, and the future is bright," the Prime Minister summarized the efforts and achievements of Petrovietnam.

The head of the government affirmed that PVN deserves to be a pillar of the national energy and industry; a major economic driving force, directly contributing to economic growth and state budget revenue; a leading unit in green transformation; an innovative, dynamic, and efficient model capable of implementing the long-term development strategy until 2030, with a vision to 2045.

The Prime Minister hopes the corporation will set higher goals than those already set, and requests the corporation to research and propose appropriate mechanisms and policies for further breakthrough development, striving to be among the top 5 enterprises in Southeast Asia.

Government leaders urged the corporation to be a pioneer in innovation and digital transformation in accordance with Resolution 57; actively integrate and expand markets in accordance with Resolution 59; promote the private economy in accordance with Resolution 68; and contribute to the improvement of legislation in accordance with Resolution 66, with the spirit of serving the common good and combating vested interests.

The Prime Minister also urged the corporation to innovate its thinking, dare to think, dare to act, act decisively, and constantly learn and improve its skills. Resources come from thinking and vision; motivation from innovation and creativity; and strength from the people and businesses. Nothing is impossible if you are determined, know how to do it, and act at the right time.

The Prime Minister requested that PVN focus on Party building, enhancing the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the entire Party organization. He also called for the implementation of modern governance, optimizing production efficiency, and flexibly responding to market changes; leveraging supply chain restructuring for sustainable development, ensuring energy security and social welfare. The Prime Minister also requested that the corporation achieve a growth rate 1.5 times higher than the overall economic growth rate of the country.

He also emphasized that the corporation needs to adhere closely to the Party's resolutions, concretizing them into feasible and effective action plans, and carrying out the work decisively. At the same time, the Congress needs to promote democracy and intellectual contributions, providing insightful feedback on the Party Committee's documents and the 14th Congress, and electing a new Executive Committee with sufficient capacity and qualities to successfully fulfill its nhiệm vụ.
