General Secretary To Lam emphasized that the cooperative relationship between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the United Russia Party is a solid foundation for promoting bilateral relations in all fields. On this occasion, General Secretary To Lam conveyed the greetings and best wishes of the senior leaders of the Party and State of Vietnam to Mr. Dmitry Medvedev and the leadership of the United Russia Party.

General Secretary To Lam emphasized that the Party, State and People of Vietnam always appreciate and deeply remember the valuable support of the former Soviet Union and the Russian Federation today in the cause of national liberation as well as the cause of national construction today.

In the context of rapid international changes, Vietnam attaches special importance to traditional friendship and is ready to cooperate closely with Russia to elevate the relationship on key pillars such as politics, security - defense, energy, education - training, culture and people-to-people exchange.

The two leaders agreed on many major directions to strengthen the relationship between the two Parties and the two countries. First of all, the two sides affirmed to continue to consolidate political trust through high-level exchanges and close cooperation between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the United Russia Party, the foundation for long-term sustainable relations. The two leaders also agreed to strengthen cooperation between the youth of the two countries to continue the tradition of relations between the two Parties and peoples.

The two sides also discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation and open up new directions of cooperation, including defense, security, oil and gas, economy - trade, science - technology, transport infrastructure, aviation, space, artificial intelligence, education - training, cyber security, culture, and tourism.

The two leaders also had in-depth discussions on regional and international issues of mutual concern, agreeing to strengthen coordination at regional and international forums.
