On the afternoon of April 1st, the Organizing Committee for the 60th anniversary of the Ham Rong victory (April 3-4, 1965 - April 3-4, 2025) held a dress rehearsal for the commemorative program.

The 60th anniversary celebration of the Ham Rong victory aims to recreate the historical value of the brilliant military leadership of our Party, the heroic coordination of the army and people of Ham Rong, especially the coordination between the air defense, air force, navy, main army units, local troops, militia and self-defense forces, and the people of Ham Rong - Nam Ngan, Thanh Hoa, who tenaciously fought and bravely sacrificed themselves against the brutal air raids of American planes, determined to protect the Ham Rong bridge - a vital national transportation artery, to ensure support for the Southern battlefield with the slogans "All for our beloved South," and "Determined to defeat the American invaders." The glorious victory of the army and people of Ham Rong - Nam Ngan, Thanh Hoa, thrilled the entire nation and international friends, an immortal epic, a shining symbol of patriotism and the heroic revolutionary will of the Ho Chi Minh era.

The commemoration included an artistic program themed "Ham Rong - The Heroic Epic Resounds Forever," consisting of three parts: Part I - Ham Rong Ready to Fight; Part II - Ham Rong Victorious; Part III - Ham Rong's Heroic Epic Resounds Forever. The program was presented in a theatrical format, featuring performances of real historical figures combined with timeless songs and some songs about the Fatherland, the Party, President Ho Chi Minh, Ham Rong, and Thanh Hoa in both the fighting and the ongoing process of building, renovating, and developing the province.

Following the dress rehearsal, the Organizing Committee held a debriefing meeting with relevant units and the program's production team. All comments acknowledged the efforts of the scriptwriter, the program director, and the dedication of the actors and artists involved in the performance. In addition, feedback was offered from various perspectives regarding costumes, actors' performances, dialogue, choreography, military uniforms, and the introduction of delegates.

In his directive speech, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Doan Anh acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the Organizing Committee and the relevant units and departments, as well as the artistic performance team. He also offered suggestions regarding the program's introductions, opening remarks, the manner of conducting the ceremony, and the artistic performances. The Provincial Party Secretary requested that the commemorative ceremony last approximately 90 minutes. The artistic program and dialogue should be moving, and the rhythm of the visuals and sound should be harmonious. Furthermore, the program team should fully incorporate the suggestions from the Organizing Committee members, continue to revise and perfect the program to ensure its attractiveness and impact, so that the 60th Anniversary of the Ham Rong Victory (April 3-4, 1965 - April 3-4, 2025) will have profound historical and revolutionary significance, educating younger generations about the traditions in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
