Summary of activities celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification

Comrade Lam Huu Phuc, Deputy Director of Tra Vinh Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism presented a summary report of the Celebration activities.

Reporting on the results of the Celebration activities, the leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Tra Vinh, the Standing unit of the Organizing Committee, assessed that all activities were successfully organized and met the requirements according to the plan. In particular, the activities that created highlights were: organizing flower and incense offerings to commemorate Uncle Ho and the heroic martyrs; exchange activities between the two provinces of Tra Vinh - Thai Binh ; Celebration and special art program combined with dramatization; cultural, artistic, physical education, sports activities and seminars...

Comrade Le Van Bai, Chairman of Tra Vinh Literature and Arts Association highly appreciated the activities of the Anniversary Ceremony.

In particular, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated well with the provincial departments, branches and sectors to advise the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to organize the Anniversary Ceremony. The program of the ceremony ensured the content of the orientation according to the direction of the Provincial Party Committee, the development of the entire program met the requirements, and was highly appreciated by delegates and the masses.

Comrade Pham Quoc Khanh, Deputy Head of Student Affairs Department, Tra Vinh University, contributed comments at the conference.

At the ceremony, Tra Vinh province was honored to receive the Ho Chi Minh Medal and a certificate of recognition for Tra Vinh province's completion of the task of building a new rural area. On the occasion of the ceremony, Tra Vinh province awarded a certificate of investment policy to the investor to implement the project at Ngu Lac Industrial Park with an area of 310 hectares. This is a project that was crystallized through the visit and work of the Standing Committee of Tra Vinh Provincial Party Committee with Thai Binh province in June 2024.

Colonel Duong Van Nam, Head of Reconnaissance Department, Tra Vinh Border Guard Command, spoke at the conference.

The ceremony ended with a special art program staged with the participation of singers and artists from Ho Chi Minh City, the Provincial Cultural Center and the Khmer Art Troupe Anh Binh Minh. Especially, there was the participation of the Cheo Troupe of Thai Binh province with special performances with the theme "Thuy chung son sac, tham dom nghia tinh". The art performances spoke of the strong relationship and solidarity between the two provinces...

Comrade Duong Hoang Sum, Director of Tra Vinh Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism received comments at the conference.

Comrade Nguyen Quynh Thien acknowledged, highly appreciated and commended the collectives and individuals who are members of the Steering Committee, the Organizing Committee of the Celebration; leaders of departments, branches and localities in the province for their efforts in performing their tasks, contributing to the overall success of the activities.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Quynh Thien delivered a concluding speech at the conference.

Comrade Nguyen Quynh Thien said that the activities of the Anniversary Ceremony were the largest-scale events ever in the province. Through the activities, many good impressions were left in the hearts of the Central leaders, leaders of other provinces and cities and were responded to and highly appreciated by the majority of Tra Vinh people.

On this occasion, the People's Committee of Tra Vinh province awarded 44 certificates of merit to 22 collectives and 22 individuals who excellently completed their tasks in organizing and serving the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification.
