In Soc Trang province, there are 4 cases of complaints and denunciations that have been prolonged and have gone beyond the level of authority. Among them, the most prominent cases are those related to the mechanism and policies for compensation and support for housing and land areas within the corridor of wind towers at wind power projects. Currently, Soc Trang province is coordinating with central ministries and branches to urgently and thoroughly handle people's opinions and complaints related to wind power projects in a way that ensures people's interests.
In Can Tho City, according to Chairman of the Can Tho City People's Committee Truong Canh Tuyen, the city currently has two cases: Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen, in Thanh Phu Commune, Co Do District, and Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Nguyet, in Thoi Hung Commune, Co Do District, who have filed complaints and denunciations that have been prolonged and exceeded the level of authority to the Central Government. Up to now, the city has resolved the matter within its authority, in accordance with the provisions of the law. The working group of the Standing Committee of the Can Tho City Party Committee proposed that the two cases of prolonged complaints and denunciations that have exceeded the level of authority to the Central Government, if they do not comply with the settlement results and deliberately file complaints beyond the level of authority, will be considered for handling violations according to regulations.
In his speech, Mr. Doan Hong Phong, the Government Inspector General, highly appreciated the results of the inspection, review and settlement of Can Tho City. At the same time, he requested Can Tho City to strengthen the work of mobilizing and persuading the above 2 cases to accept the settlement results of the city, because the city has resolved within its authority, in accordance with the provisions of the law and has implemented support for social security aspects.
Government Inspector General Doan Hong Phong acknowledged the spirit of participation of leaders of provinces and cities, strictly implementing the Prime Minister's direction, establishing a working group to inspect and review the cases. The Government Inspectorate identified this as an important task, deployed as a campaign, mobilizing all forces of local departments, the Central Citizen Reception Committee and a number of other units, establishing working groups to directly go to localities to inspect, urge, and guide the handling of each specific case. Provinces and cities need to strengthen propaganda and mobilize people to strictly comply with the law and conclusions and decisions.
