This high-level debate of the United Nations General Assembly has the theme "Rebuilding trust and promoting global solidarity: Strengthening action on the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals towards peace , prosperity, progress and sustainability for all".
The opening session was attended by more than 150 heads of state and government , along with representatives of many countries and international organizations.

The UN Secretary-General said that countries need to strengthen dialogue, promote multilateralism and reform the international governance system, especially international economic and financial institutions and the United Nations. This is to better meet the requirements of sustainable development.
