President Putin promises one thing to the country that wants to join BRICS

On August 26, Palestinian Ambassador to Russia Abdel Hafiz Nofal said that Palestine will apply to join the BRICS group of leading emerging economies after the group's summit in October in Kazan (Russia).

“After our first participation in the summit, we will submit an application to join BRICS. President Vladimir Putin has promised to dedicate a session at the summit to Palestine. We have positive expectations,” said Abdel Hafiz Nofal.

According to Ambassador Nofal, the invitation to Palestine to the Kazan summit is a "positive message" and a symbol of support for the Palestinian people.

Earlier, President Putin invited Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to attend the BRICS summit in Kazan.

Recently, Azerbaijan officially applied to join BRICS.

The group was founded in 2009 and currently has 10 members including Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Saudi Arabia.
