The BRICS Summit is themed “Strengthening Southern Hemisphere Cooperation for Inclusive and Sustainable Global Governance." Priorities include: global health cooperation, trade and investment, climate change response, artificial intelligence (AI) governance, multilateral architecture for peace and strengthening the BRICS institutional framework.

These goals are in line with Vietnam's priorities such as sustainable economic development towards high income by 2045, responding to climate change in coastal areas and promoting digital transformation.

This is the first time Vietnam has participated as a partner country at the BRICS Summit - a multilateral cooperation mechanism between emerging economies that is increasingly influential both economically and politically.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will attend and speak at high-level sessions of the conference on topics such as strengthening multilateralism, economic and financial issues, artificial intelligence, environment, climate change, global health, etc.

The Prime Minister will have bilateral meetings with leaders of countries and organizations attending the conference, thereby affirming Vietnam's role, desire and responsible contribution to this multilateral mechanism; at the same time, further deepening the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and BRICS member countries and international organizations.

In addition, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also had bilateral activities in Brazil, aiming to promote multifaceted cooperation with Brazil, especially in the economic field.
