UN Secretary General, British King and many countries congratulate National Day September 2

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day, leaders of many countries and international organizations sent congratulatory messages to the leaders of the Party, State and people of Vietnam.

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres sent a congratulatory message to President Luong Cuong and congratulated the Vietnamese people. The UN Secretary-General stressed that this is an opportunity to review global challenges, from the climate crisis, conflict to inequality, to come up with multilateral solutions, promoting peace , sustainable development and human rights for all.

British King Charles III sent a congratulatory message to President Luong Cuong and the people of Vietnam.

The King assessed the historical milestone of the 80th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's reading of the Declaration of Independence as a reflection of Vietnam's spiritual strength, cultural tradition, solidarity, perseverance and growing contributions to the international arena. The King highly appreciated and wished to strongly strengthen the relationship between the two countries, especially in biodiversity conservation, climate change response, and environmental protection for future generations.

Belarus: President Aleksandr Lukashenko sent congratulatory letters to General Secretary To Lam and President Luong Cuong, Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin sent congratulatory letters to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Senate President Natalya Kochanova and House of Representatives Speaker Igor Sergeyenko sent congratulatory letters to National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man.

Belarusian leaders highly appreciated the wise leadership role of the Communist Party of Vietnam in the cause of national liberation and development. General Secretary To Lam’s visit to Belarus and the recent bilateral meetings between the two countries’ leaders were important milestones, creating strong momentum, opening up great prospects for Vietnam-Belarus relations and bringing the relationship to a new strategic height.

Germany: President Frank-Walter Steinmeier sent a congratulatory letter to President Luong Cuong.

The German President stressed that 2025 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The President affirmed that the relationship between the two countries has continuously developed in a constructive spirit and towards prosperity and peace.

The connections between the two peoples are considered a solid foundation for bilateral relations. In the context of the world facing many challenges, the German President said that Vietnam-Germany cooperation is even more important.

On this occasion, Chairman of the German Social Democratic Party (SPD) in the ruling coalition Lars Klingbeil sent a congratulatory letter to General Secretary To Lam. Co-chairs of the German Left Party (Die Linke) Ines Schwerdtner and Jan van Aken sent congratulatory letters to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Italy: President Sergio Mattarella sent a congratulatory letter to President Luong Cuong.

The President affirmed that the Vietnam-Italy relationship is built on a foundation of trust and cooperation, and has now become a dynamic partnership in many fields. The President believes that this effective and mutually beneficial relationship will continue to be strengthened through joint initiatives, contributing to peace, stability and sustainable development in the region and the world, while emphasizing the role of EU-ASEAN cooperation in this process.

King Felipe VI of Spain sent congratulations to President Luong Cuong and the people of Vietnam.

Egypt: President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi sent a congratulatory message to President Luong Cuong.

The Egyptian President highly appreciated the good traditional friendship with Vietnam, believing that President Luong Cuong's visit would create a strong momentum for bilateral relations. Egypt wishes to work with Vietnam to promote the Comprehensive Partnership and strengthen cooperation in many fields.

United Arab Emirates (UAE): President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan sent a congratulatory message to General Secretary To Lam and President Luong Cuong; UAE Vice President and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum sent a congratulatory message to President Luong Cuong and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; UAE Vice President Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan sent a congratulatory message to President Luong Cuong and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

UAE leaders sent wishes for Vietnam's further development and prosperity.

Denmark: Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen sent a congratulatory letter to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

The Danish Prime Minister affirmed that this is a milestone that demonstrates Vietnam's strength and resilience, as well as the remarkable development journey that Vietnam is undertaking. The Prime Minister is proud that Denmark is a partner and friend of Vietnam and the Vietnamese people and wishes to cooperate in many areas, especially green growth, energy, trade and investment.

Building on nearly 55 years of diplomatic relations, the Danish Prime Minister wishes to further elevate our partnership to broaden and deepen cooperation.

King Willem Alexander of the Netherlands sent National Day greetings to President Luong Cuong.

President of the European Council Antonio Costa sent a congratulatory letter to General Secretary To Lam.

The President of the European Council affirmed that the Vietnamese people have the right to be proud of their achievements as peace, stability and socio-economic progress have been firmly consolidated. The European Union is honored to have accompanied Vietnam since the two sides established diplomatic relations in 1990.

The President of the European Council assessed that over the past 35 years, the partnership between the two sides has been continuously strengthened and developed deeply; the two sides' upgrading of the relationship will be the clearest demonstration of the two sides' common commitment to taking the bilateral relationship further.

Venezuela: President Nicolas Maduro Moros sent a congratulatory letter to President Luong Cuong.

President Nicolas Maduro expressed his admiration and tribute to President Ho Chi Minh for his vision and tireless struggle to protect the Vietnamese people's right to self-determination. President Nicolas Maduro affirmed that the Vietnam-Venezuela relationship goes beyond diplomatic practice and is based on deep trust, solidarity and brotherhood.

He wished to further step up efforts to strengthen the culture of peace and a multipolar order based on political understanding and constructive dialogue.

On this occasion, leaders of several parties in Venezuela sent congratulatory letters to the Communist Party of Vietnam and General Secretary To Lam.

ICAPP: Co-chairs of the Standing Committee of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) Chung Eui-yong and Mushahid Hussain Sayed sent congratulatory letters to General Secretary To Lam

The ICAPP Co-Chair said Vietnam has demonstrated resilience, solidarity and remarkable progress, becoming an inspiring example of independence, development, prosperity and international integration over the past eight decades.
