"I was deeply moved and felt a great sense of loss when I heard that General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong had passed away. I mourn the passing of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong - a beloved son of the Vietnamese people, an exceptionally outstanding leader, a staunch communist. During his lifetime, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong always paid special attention and devoted great enthusiasm to the work of the Front and to the cause of great national unity. The viewpoint on great national unity was elevated and fully expressed through the book "Promoting the tradition of great national unity, building our country to be increasingly rich, civilized and happy" by the General Secretary.

Inheriting Ho Chi Minh's thought on great national solidarity and drawing conclusions from practice, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong once affirmed: "Solidarity is an extremely precious tradition of the nation, the source of strength for our nation to forever exist and develop, the red thread running through, the strategic line, and the vital meaning of the Vietnamese revolution."

I myself always feel that Uncle Ho's spirit of great national unity has strongly inspired those working in the Front to continue to fulfill their mission well. I vow to study and follow his example, wholeheartedly and with all my might to serve the Fatherland and the People, promote the strength of the great unity bloc, and contribute to building the homeland and country to become increasingly rich, beautiful, and powerful."

Deputy Head of Propaganda Department of Tan Hung District Party Committee - Nguyen Thi Diem Phuong:

“Hearing the news of his death on the afternoon of July 19, I was very sad, feeling a great loss in my heart, which I will never find again. Although I have not had the opportunity to meet Uncle Nguyen Phu Trong, but with my understanding, he is a loyal communist, extremely exemplary, a model of pure morality, wholeheartedly devoted to the Party, the country, and the people. I respectfully bow before a virtuous and talented leader, who devoted his whole life to the country and the people.

During his lifetime, he once made a request for each cadre doing propaganda work: “Have qualifications, strong political will, perseverance, intelligence, dedication to work, courage to fight, professional qualifications and must have a scientific method of operation, coordinate smoothly with other agencies. Propaganda cadres must be able to say what they say, do what they say, not be tempted, not be bribed by hostile forces, bad guys,…”.

I always remind myself to always remember Uncle Ho's advice and vow to study, practice, strive, always self-reflect, self-admonish, self-correct, and follow Uncle Ho's example. Every Long An citizen needs to turn pain into concrete action, promote the strength of national solidarity, join hands to make the province in general and Tan Hung district in particular increasingly develop, strong and loyal to respond to Uncle Ho's expectations."

Chairman of Thu Thua District Farmers' Association - Nguyen Van Bay:

“I have great respect and admiration for General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong. I would like to express my deepest condolences on the passing of the General Secretary. During his lifetime, he always cared about the lives of farmers and always accompanied us farmers on the path of agricultural development. General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong once emphasized that: “Developing agriculture and rural areas, improving the lives of farmers and rural people is the responsibility of the entire Party and people, and is a central task of the entire political system.”

The passing of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong is a great loss, but the legacy he left behind will forever live in our hearts. “General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong is a staunch communist, an outstanding leader, an excellent student of President Ho Chi Minh, who devoted his whole life to the country and the people without a moment of rest. He is a typical example for every cadre, party member and citizen to learn from and follow, including members of the Veterans Association.

The passing of the General Secretary leaves me and every Vietnamese person with deep sorrow for his great contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation. In particular, the work of building our Party and the cause of national renewal in recent times has achieved many important achievements, "never before have we had such a foundation, potential, position and international prestige as today".

“Although I have not had the opportunity to meet General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, his teachings for the young generation are always engraved in my mind. I remember he once said: “Our Party, State and People always put their trust in the young generation - the future owners of the country, the pillars of the nation, the creative vanguard in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland”.

And I always remember what Uncle Ho once advised the Youth Union: “The Youth Union needs to orient and educate young people to maintain revolutionary spirit, have sharp political awareness, actively fight to prevent and refute false information and arguments. Increase youth resistance to negative manifestations, the dark side of society and the sabotage and distortion of hostile forces, especially on social networks; avoid the situation of “indifferent Party”, “dry Youth”, “distance from politics”.

Before the passing of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, the Youth Union members, youth and young people of Thanh Hoa district promise to constantly strive, learn and practice to be worthy of being an important part of the nation, a pillar of the country. We have, are and will always consider his teachings as a guideline for the activities of the Youth Union and a motivation for myself and the collective to continue to make efforts and contribute to the cause of building our homeland to be more and more prosperous and civilized.

“General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong is a leader who has made many great and especially outstanding contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation. As Chairman of the National Assembly, he signed the Decision to establish the “Group of Vietnamese Women Parliamentarians”, later the “Group of Vietnamese Women National Assembly Deputies”. During his lifetime, he always cared about and highly appreciated the position and role of Vietnamese women.
