The car model with the lowest sales in the Vietnamese market in June 2025 was the Ford Explorer. This large SUV model achieved sales of exactly 1 unit, down 90%. According to a sales consultant at the dealership, Ford Explorers in Vietnam are currently out of stock and have been discontinued. On Ford Vietnam's homepage, this large SUV model has also quietly disappeared.

Standing in second place in the list of worst-selling cars is the Honda Accord - a familiar face. Sales of this D-class sedan reached only 2 units, an increase compared to May 2025. In the previous month, the Honda Accord did not sell any units. The weakness of the Honda Accord lies in its high listed price, up to 1.319 billion VND, and there is only one version. In addition, this model has not been upgraded in terms of design or equipment for a long time.

Similar to the previous month, June 2025 continued to witness the appearance of Kia Morning in the top 10 worst-selling cars in the Vietnamese market. This model sold 6 units, an increase of 50%. Changes in consumer tastes and the appearance of more attractive new car models, including electric cars with similar prices, have caused A-class cars in general and Kia Morning in particular to lose their appeal.

The model right behind Morning is its brand sibling, K5. In June 2025, Kia sold 20 K5s to Vietnamese people, an increase of 17.6%. Thus, this is the second mid-range sedan to appear in this top 10, after Honda Accord. This further shows the indifference of Vietnamese consumers towards this segment.

Fifth place belongs to Isuzu mu-X. This mid-size SUV sold 23 units, down 28%. It seems that the new version, launched in Vietnam in June 2025, could not save the sales of this model. Part of the reason why Isuzu mu-X is not popular in Vietnam is due to its unattractive design and ineffective communication and promotion methods.

Owning sales only slightly higher than the Isuzu mu-X is the Toyota Corolla Altis. This model sold 24 units, down 11.1%. If it wants to increase sales, the Toyota Corolla Altis in Vietnam probably needs a new version with upgraded design and equipment. In addition, the unattractive selling price, ranging from 725 - 870 million, also affects the sales of this model.

The second Toyota model to make it into the top 10 worst-selling cars in Vietnam in June 2025 is the Alphard. This MPV model, dubbed the "ground plane", sold 26 units, up 85.7%. With a selling price ranging from 4.37 - 4.475 billion VND, it is not surprising that the Toyota Alphard has low sales.

Isuzu currently has only 2 passenger car models in Vietnam, the mu-X and D-Max. Both models are in the top 10 worst-selling cars in the market in June 2025. Compared to its brother, the mu-X, the Isuzu D-Max has higher sales, reaching 31 units. However, compared to the previous month, the sales of this pickup truck model decreased by 57.9%. The reason why the Isuzu D-Max sells poorly in Vietnam is similar to the mu-X.

Mitsubishi Outlander has sales equal to Isuzu D-Max, only 31 units. Compared to May 2025, this C-size SUV model decreased by 8.8%. In recent months, Mitsubishi Outlander has had its incentive program cut. This, combined with its outdated design and equipment, inferior to its competitors, and not-so-cheap price (from 825 - 950 million VND), makes Mitsubishi Outlander not the top choice in the C-size SUV segment.

Suzuki Jimny is a name that is often present in the list of worst-selling cars in the Vietnamese market. June 2025 is no exception. Last month, this model sold only 33 units, an increase of 94.1%. Suzuki Jimny in Vietnam has a fairly high selling price, starting from 789 million VND. Meanwhile, the size, amenities and safety equipment of the car are not commensurate with the selling price.
