Tottenham want Sancho

Jadon Sancho could move to Tottenham Hotspur in the final stages of this summer's transfer window.

Sancho joined Manchester United from Borussia Dortmund for £73m in 2021, but has scored just 12 goals in 96 games.

According to Sky Sports , Manchester United are urgently looking for a buyer for Sancho. The "Red Devils" leadership has contacted Tottenham Hotspur about the possibility of selling the English player. Tottenham's executive team also expressed interest in Sancho, but only at a low price.

With wages of £300,000 a week, Sancho is a financial burden for United, and he is not willing to take a pay cut to move to another team with a lower salary. This makes negotiations complicated, although some big European clubs, including AS Roma and Juventus, have made great efforts to sign him in this transfer window.

According to Corriere dello Sport , Roma offered Sancho a transfer fee of 19 million euros plus 5 million euros in performance bonuses, along with a salary of up to 6.5 million euros per year. However, the commission fee that Sancho's representatives requested was up to 10 million euros, a huge number that caused Roma and Juventus to withdraw from the race.

Financially, Tottenham can meet the fee Roma is offering MU. However, Sancho will have to take a big cut from his current £300,000-a-week salary at MU if he moves to the "Rooster". This is the biggest obstacle to this deal happening.

After losing Eze to Arsenal and struggling with Savinho, Tottenham's management are rushing to add a new attacking midfielder this summer, and the former Borussia Dortmund star could be the missing piece to strengthen the club for the current season.
