Temporarily giving up the throne to its rival Suzuki XL7 in March, Toyota Innova Cross quickly regained its leading position in the hybrid vehicle segment in Vietnam. Specifically, Toyota's MPV model sold 228 vehicles in April, an increase of 16.9% compared to the previous month (195 vehicles). This is a positive signal showing the sustainable appeal of Toyota models in the market.
Meanwhile, the Suzuki XL7 - the model that led the market in March with 275 units - saw a significant decline, down to 195 units in April, down 29.1%. However, the XL7 still maintained its second place in the hybrid car sales rankings.

In third place is the Toyota Corolla Cross with 165 cars sold in April, a slight increase of 2.5% compared to March (161 cars). This stability shows that the Corolla Cross still maintains its appeal to Vietnamese consumers, especially those looking for a compact and fuel-efficient crossover model.
The most notable highlight in April belonged to Toyota Camry with its spectacular growth. Sales of this D-class sedan skyrocketed from 81 cars in March to 148 cars in April, equivalent to an increase of 82.7%. In particular, the hybrid version of Camry is outperforming the traditional gasoline engine version, showing a clear trend of consumers in choosing green technology.

Contributing to the diversity of the hybrid car market is the Honda CR-V with 147 cars sold in April, up 17.6% compared to March (125 cars). The appeal of Honda's SUV comes from its spacious space, convenient equipment and fuel-efficient hybrid technology.
Looking at the ranking of the Top 5 best-selling hybrid cars in April 2025, it can be seen that Toyota is dominating with 3 models present, including the No. 1 position. This reflects the Japanese car company's correct strategy in promoting hybrid technology in the Vietnamese market.

By the end of April 2025, Toyota Innova Cross maintained its No. 1 position in the group with 837 vehicles delivered to customers, Suzuki XL7 ranked second with 769 vehicles. The sales race between this MPV duo promises to continue to be fierce in the following months of 2025.
