Ho Chi Minh City has begun grading 10th-grade exams; where can I check my results?

On June 3rd, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training began grading the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2026-2027 high school graduation exam. According to preliminary information from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, parents and students can check their 10th grade exam scores from June 12th onwards.

Mr. Nguyen Van Phong, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, informed that the process of assigning codes to exam papers will begin today and continue until June 4th. The official grading of the 10th grade exam papers will begin on June 5th and last until June 9th. After June 12th, the grading committee will finalize scores, cross-check results, and announce the 10th grade exam results.

Two independent rounds of judging

Accordingly, the area for grading 10th-grade exams, as arranged by the Department of Education and Training, must ensure security and safety, have sufficient fire prevention and fighting equipment, and be continuously guarded by police 24 hours a day; the grading area, the area for checking essay exams, and the area for storing essay exams must be located close together.

According to the Department of Education and Training's leadership, the grading process is carried out in strict accordance with the regulations for the 10th grade exam. Members of the 10th grade grading committee are strictly prohibited from bringing any information transmission or reception devices, copying materials, personal papers, correction fluid, pencils, or any other types of pens not permitted by the Grading Committee into or out of the grading area.

After the marking process is complete, the Examination Council Secretariat is responsible for handing over the marked exam papers and marking sheets to the head examiner. The head examiner is responsible for disseminating the marking regulations in this document, discussing the answer key and marking guidelines with all team leaders, and jointly marking at least 10 papers. Subsequently, the team leader implements the marking regulations, the independent two-round marking process, discusses the answer key and marking guidelines, and organizes the joint marking of 10 papers by each team.

Each 10th-grade exam will undergo a two-round grading process: First round: The head of the essay grading team will randomly assign (ensuring that one batch of exam papers is graded by two different grading teams) the entire batch of exam papers to each examiner.

After the first round of grading, the secretariat members withdraw all the grading sheets and hand over the exam paper bags to the head of the grading team to organize the second round of grading (randomly assigned), ensuring that the graded exam paper bags are not returned to the same person who graded them the first time.

The head of the grading team receives the exam papers and grading sheets from the Examination Council Secretariat, then directs the grading teams to standardize the scores. The score for each question and the total score for the entire exam should only be recorded in the designated area on the exam paper after the scores have been agreed upon.

Check at least 5% of the exam papers.

In addition, the verification team will verify at least 5% of the exam papers that have been graded by the examiners in the first or second round, according to the grading schedule or after the two examiners agree on the score and as directed by the head of the grading committee; each exam paper undergoing verification will be graded by one examiner following the same procedure as the first round of grading.

The process for selecting papers for verification is as follows: the head of the grading committee randomly selects a number of graded papers (possibly an entire batch), or selects papers where the scores given by two examiners differ significantly before reaching a consensus, or selects papers with high or low scores within the examination board (based on agreement with the head of the grading committee). These papers are then forwarded to the examination board secretary for compilation and handover to the verification team for verification.

The 2026 Ho Chi Minh City Grade 10 entrance exam is the first entrance exam after the merger, and Ho Chi Minh City has the largest number of candidates nationwide. The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training has mobilized approximately 22,000 officials, teachers, and staff to participate in serving all procedures of the exam.
