TPO - The meteorological and hydrological agency forecasts that the peak tide in the lower reaches of the Saigon - Dong Nai River is likely to occur on April 10-11 (corresponding to the 2nd-3rd day of the third lunar month), at 1.45-1.50m (approximately or 0.05m below Level II).

According to the Southern Vietnam Regional Hydrometeorological Station, water levels at stations in the lower reaches of the Saigon-Dong Nai river system are rising rapidly due to the high tide at the beginning of the third lunar month and are at high levels.

As of 7:00 AM this morning, April 9th, the highest water levels of the day at Phu An station (Saigon River) and Nha Be station (Dong Dien River) were both approximately at Warning Level I (1.4m).

Forecasts indicate that water levels at stations in the lower reaches of the Saigon-Dong Nai River will continue to rise over the next 2-3 days, then gradually recede. The peak of this tidal surge is likely to occur on April 10-11 (corresponding to the 2nd-3rd day of the third lunar month), at the following levels: Phu An and Nha Be stations at 1.45-1.50m (approximately or 0.05m below Level II). The peak tide will occur between 4-6 am and 5-7 pm.

Regarding the weather situation, the Southern Region Meteorological and Hydrological Station reported that yesterday (April 8th), intense heat continued to occur over a wide area in the Eastern region, with some areas experiencing intense heat in the Western region. However, the intensity of the heat generally decreased slightly across the entire region.

The highest temperatures range from 35 to 38 degrees Celsius, with some places exceeding 38 degrees, such as Dong Xoai, Binh Phuoc (38.4 degrees).

Forecasts indicate that over the next 3-5 days, hot weather will continue to prevail over a wide area in Southern Vietnam, with particularly intense heat in the Eastern region, reaching maximum temperatures of 35-39 degrees Celsius.
