Ho Chi Minh City opens free swimming classes for people

Starting in May, the Ho Chi Minh City Aquatic Sports Center will begin offering free basic swimming classes to city residents.

Specifically, the free basic swimming class organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Aquatic Sports Center will be divided into 3 sessions.

Phase 1 from May 20 to June 19 is for officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers in the culture and sports sector who are working in departments, offices, and public service units under the Department. Registration time starts from May 12 until the opening day.

Phase 2 and Phase 3 are for all subjects aged 10 and above, who are permanent residents of Ho Chi Minh City. Phase 2 takes place from September 9 to October 14, with registration opening on August 18.

Phase 3 takes place from November 4 to December 4, registration opens from November 10.

All swimming classes are held at the Ho Chi Minh City Aquatic Sports Center (No. 1 Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1).

Session 1 has class time from 11:30 - 12:30 every Tuesday and Thursday.

Sessions 2 and 3 are from 9am-10am on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The course covers basic swimming skills and basic breaststroke strokes.

The program organizes free basic swimming classes for city residents to celebrate major holidays in 2025, responding to the campaign "All people practice sports following the example of great Uncle Ho".

At the same time, it creates a spreading effect and positive influence on the community in the movement of the whole population voluntarily practicing, training physical strength, and improving health to meet the tasks of studying and working.
