It is called the KOP-2 system and it is currently undergoing field testing. Photo: @424th Svarog Battalion.

All we know is that this area is where Ukrainian drone teams continue to neutralize important Russian assets, while Russia is testing the KOP-2 system to find a way to counter it. Photo: @424th Battalion Svarog.

It is known that KOP-2 (also known as Detection and Suppression System-2), is a modern Russian system designed to detect and jam Ukrainian drones. Photo: @424th Svarog Battalion.
6-8687.png
The system scans the radio spectrum over a wide frequency range, identifying the specific frequency used by enemy UAVs and then disabling that frequency with an extremely high-power jamming signal. Photo: @424th Svarog Battalion.

The KOP-2 platform represents Russia’s latest effort to prevent widespread use of Ukrainian drones, which have become essential tools for reconnaissance and precision strikes. Photo: @424th Svarog Battalion.
8.png
In fact, the KOP-2 system is considered an expensive and unpopular system, and is believed to be deployed only to protect high-value assets, including air defense systems and critical Russian infrastructure. Photo: @424th Svarog Battalion.

Despite its intended role, however, the system proved ineffective in actual combat. Soldiers of the 424th Svarog Battalion conducted an initial precision strike to disable the electronic warfare device, followed by a follow-up strike that completely destroyed the KOP-2 system. The exact targeting and attack methods were not disclosed, but the successful attack underscores the growing capabilities of Ukrainian drone units to locate and neutralize electronic warfare threats. Photo: @424th Svarog Battalion.

These efforts are important as Russia increasingly relies on electronic warfare to disrupt Ukrainian drone operations at the tactical level. Photo: @424th Svarog Battalion.
