(NLĐO) - From March 30th, Ho Chi Minh City is likely to experience unseasonal rain until April 3rd, providing relief after days of widespread heat.
The Southern Vietnam Regional Hydrometeorological Station announced that provinces and cities in Southern Vietnam are about to receive a period of unseasonal rain, providing much-needed relief after the current widespread heatwave ends.
Accordingly, today, March 29th, many areas in Southern Vietnam will still experience hot weather with temperatures above 35 degrees Celsius. From March 30th onwards, the heatwave will gradually subside and the highest temperatures will decrease slightly.
In Ho Chi Minh City, the unseasonal rain may last from March 30th to April 3rd and affect a wide area.
The cause of the unseasonal rains is the equatorial low-pressure trough, which is tending to shift its axis northward and is located at approximately 5-8 degrees North latitude.
From around tomorrow (March 30th) onwards, the hot weather in the Southern region will decrease, and rain will appear.
In addition, there is a possibility that this low-pressure trough will form a disturbance over the southern South China Sea, tending to move towards the mainland.
In Ho Chi Minh City, the unseasonal rain may last from March 30th to April 3rd and affect a wide area.
According to the forecast, the weather during this unseasonal rain spell in Ho Chi Minh City and the Southern region will be partly cloudy with intermittent sunshine. The heat is trending downwards. There will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some areas experiencing moderate to heavy rain (mainly in the late afternoon and evening).
The lowest temperature will be between 23-26 degrees Celsius and the highest temperature will be around 30-34 degrees Celsius.
In addition, this unseasonal rain is occurring in many areas of Southern Vietnam, but is concentrated mainly in the coastal provinces of the Mekong Delta. During thunderstorms, be wary of lightning, tornadoes, and strong gusts of wind.
