Ho Chi Minh City will set off fireworks at 8 locations on Tet holiday

The city will set off fireworks on Lunar New Year's Eve 2024 at eight locations, two more than last year.

The information was announced by Mr. Bui Xuan Duc, Head of the Ceremony and Event Organization Department, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports, at a press conference on the city's economic and social situation on the afternoon of January 25.

Two high-altitude fireworks displays will be at the entrance of the Saigon River Tunnel (Thu Duc City) and the Ben Duoc Martyrs Memorial (Cu Chi District). Six low-altitude fireworks displays will be at the Ben Noc Monument (Thu Duc City), Dam Sen Park (District 11), Sac Forest Square (Can Gio District), Lang Le Bau Co Relic Site (Binh Chanh District), Cultural Park (Go Vap District), and Nga Ba Giong Historical Site (Hoc Mon District).

Fireworks will be launched for 15 minutes at 0:00 on February 10 (the first day of the Lunar New Year), funded by socialized sources.

Fireworks are a regular activity on major holidays (April 30 and September 2), New Year and Lunar New Year in Ho Chi Minh City, to serve the people and tourists. On New Year's Day 2024, Ho Chi Minh City will set off fireworks at two locations: the Saigon River Tunnel (Thu Duc City) and Dam Sen Cultural Park (District 11) from 0:00 to 0:15 on January 1, 2024.

In addition to fireworks, the city also organizes spring flower festivals and Tet flower markets, banh tet festivals, banh tet offerings to the Hung Kings and Lord Le Thanh Hau Nguyen Huu Canh, book street festivals, Nguyen Hue flower street...

This year, the city will organize artistic lighting on 7 streets in District 1 such as Nguyen Hue, Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, Le Duan, Le Loi, Dong Khoi, Ton Duc Thang, Pham Ngoc Thach and some locations in Districts 4, 6, 11, Binh Thanh, Binh Tan.
