At the conference to implement the stimulus plan to attract tourists to the city held on August 19, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism announced a cooperation program with partners, from now until the end of 2025, it will implement a campaign to promote Ho Chi Minh City's destinations on digital platforms; at the same time, it will offer a preferential package worth more than 4 billion VND in e-vouchers for tourists when booking air tickets and hotel rooms in Ho Chi Minh City through the application and website www.traveloka.com.
The program is accompanied by businesses in the entire tourism ecosystem: Airlines with flight ticket incentives, high-class hotels and resorts with international standard accommodation services, specialty restaurants with unique culinary experiences, and health care facilities, spas and beauty salons that bring comprehensive service experiences to tourists. This program attracts many businesses in the above fields to participate.

At the same time, the Department of Tourism promotes the city's unique culinary values through cooperation with leading technology platforms to deploy the "Culinary Passport" program - a smart interactive tool, helping visitors easily explore and "check-in" unique culinary journeys.
The Department of Tourism leader said that it will coordinate with travel agencies to develop and announce specialized culinary tours, introducing traditional dishes, specialty restaurants and new culinary experiences.
In 2025, the Ho Chi Minh City Food Guide will be republished in print and electronic form, adding many addresses and typical dishes in new wards and communes. The synchronous launch of the "Food Passport", experience tours and Food Guide will bring visitors a colorful journey of discovery, contributing to positioning Ho Chi Minh City as the leading culinary paradise in Vietnam.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, in the first 7 months of 2025, international visitors to the city are estimated to reach over 4.5 million, an increase of 48% over the same period in 2024; domestic tourists to the city in the first 7 months of 2025 are estimated to reach over 21.7 million, an increase of 8.2% over the same period in 2024. Total tourism revenue in the first 7 months of 2025 is estimated to reach over 140 trillion VND, an increase of 29.9% over the same period in 2024.
In 2025, Ho Chi Minh City's tourism industry aims to welcome 10 million international visitors, 50 million domestic visitors, and achieve total tourism revenue of VND290 trillion.
