Long Xuyen City upgrades 9 roads

In the atmosphere of celebrating the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025), on the morning of May 19, the People's Committee of Long Xuyen City held a groundbreaking ceremony for the project to upgrade and renovate 9 roads to upgrade criterion 2 (traffic) of My Khanh commune, to promote economic growth under the direction of the Provincial People's Committee.

Leaders of the province, Long Xuyen city and My Khanh commune performed the groundbreaking ceremony.

Attending the ceremony were Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Council Le Van Nung; Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Long Xuyen City Party Committee Huynh Quoc Thai; Chairman of the Long Xuyen City People's Committee Tran Minh Duc; local leaders and a large number of cadres, party members and people of My Khanh commune.

According to the Long Xuyen City Investment and Construction Project Management Board, the project has a total investment of over 14.5 billion VND, the investment capital comes from the Long Xuyen City budget. The investment scale is to upgrade 9 rural traffic routes and reinforce sections at risk of landslides, including the following routes: Thay Loc Road (left bank) Binh Hoa 2 Hamlet; Cai Chieng Road (right bank, section from Cai Chieng Bridge to Muong Tuong Bridge) Binh Hoa 1 Hamlet; Muong Tuong Road (right bank, section from Muong Tuong Bridge to Hoa Binh Bridge bordering Binh Khanh Ward) Binh Hoa 1 Hamlet; Rach Dung Road (left bank) Binh Khanh Hamlet; Thay Giao Road (left and right banks) Binh Hoa Hamlet; Cha Da Road (left and right banks) Binh Hoa Hamlet; Ba Bong Road (left bank) Binh Hoa 1 Hamlet... Construction time is 150 days, expected to be completed and put into operation by October 16, 2025.

To soon put the completed project into operation, Chairman of Long Xuyen City People's Committee Tran Minh Duc requested the construction unit to arrange human resources, equipment... to construct the project to achieve quality; strive to complete the construction on schedule and exceed the schedule; comply with conditions on labor safety, environmental sanitation, and reasonable traffic flow to avoid congestion. The investor and project manager must comply with regulations on contract management, quality, progress, investment capital and regularly inspect and supervise the project according to the signed contract to ensure the quality and progress of the project.
