In the plan, Nha Trang City People's Committee requested the city's functional agencies such as the Department of Culture - Information, Department of Urban Management, Nha Trang City Police, Youth Union, Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs... together with communes and wards to strengthen, inspect and handle street vendors, touts who follow and solicit tourists at tourist attractions; inspect and handle acts of encroachment on sidewalks, roadsides, and selling in front of and inside tourist attractions that cause loss of urban beauty; inspect, handle and gather vagrants and beggars in the city (if any), especially at tourist attractions. At the same time, assign the Department of Culture - Information to monitor, synthesize and proactively report on the handling of street vendors, touts who follow and solicit tourists at tourist attractions, promptly advise the City People's Committee to direct the resolution of complicated problems that arise (if any). City Police. Nha Trang assigns inspection and patrol forces to promptly handle acts of solicitation, robbery, and fraud against tourists at tourist attractions, ensuring safety and security for tourists traveling in the city; strengthen inspection and strictly handle the situation of parking and stopping vehicles in the wrong places at tourist attractions in the city.
Previously, in December 2024, in Nha Trang City, there were a number of unfortunate incidents such as: street vendors at Long Son Pagoda also fought with Chinese tourists because of an argument over paying for incense; Dam Market traders assaulted a tour guide because they were not satisfied with the way they introduced customers to buy goods... These incidents were directed by Nha Trang City People's Committee to relevant agencies and local authorities to handle, but they also affected the brand and image of civilized and friendly Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa tourism.
