Dong Nai: Focus on implementing key tasks of culture, sports and tourism in the last 6 months of 2025

On July 15, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dong Nai province reported on the preliminary review of culture, sports, tourism and press - publishing work in the first 6 months of the year, and key tasks for the last 6 months of 2025.

Reporting on culture, sports , tourism and press work - published in the first 6 months of 2025, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dong Nai (new) said that the Department has advised the Provincial People's Committee, issued plans, decisions... according to its authority.

Results of performing arts activities: Dong Nai Art Theater has organized and performed art programs to serve the province's political tasks: 58 shows; performed in the form of livestream at Dong Nai Art Theater Stage to serve the cultural and artistic enjoyment needs of officials and people: 09 shows; performed to serve districts, cities in the province and remote areas: 87 shows. Total number of performances: 154 shows, serving about 112,900 viewers.

Binh Phuoc Ethnic Music and Dance Troupe successfully organized art programs. In the first 6 months of the year, the troupe performed 53 shows to serve political and public tasks, attracting about 39,750 viewers. Serving major holidays of the province such as: Serving the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Binh Phuoc province, the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Chon Thanh district, the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday...

In the first 6 months of the year, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dong Nai and Binh Phuoc provinces has carried out visual propaganda to celebrate holidays, serving the political tasks of the country and the province in many forms. Dong Nai Cinema and Cultural Center and Binh Phuoc Provincial Cultural Center have organized many exhibitions, art performances, singing, dancing, music programs... to serve people and tourists during holidays and Tet... The fields of libraries, training and fostering arts have also achieved certain results.

Dong Nai Museum has also prepared a Scientific dossier of intangible cultural heritage to propose inclusion in the National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage: Long Tong Festival (Going to the Field) of the Tay people in Dinh Quan, Tan Phu. Compiling a photo book of special traditional festivals in Dong Nai; Excavating the archaeological site of Ong Chon Temple in Dong Nai Nature and Culture Reserve (20% of the work is completed); Preparing a dossier to rank the historical relic of the Southeast Security Department, Vinh Cuu district (95% of the work is completed); In the first 6 months of 2025, the Provincial Museum welcomed 52,684 visitors to visit and learn; Tran Bien Temple of Literature welcomed 87,671 visitors to visit and offer incense at the relic.

Binh Phuoc Museum has built a dossier on the intangible cultural heritage of the hand-pounding rice-pounding profession of the Stieng and Mnong people in Binh Phuoc province; received the 3D Museum System, the 3D exhibition space of Binh Phuoc Provincial Museum; inspected the relics; prevented termites and insects; organized exhibitions to celebrate major holidays; promoted the exhibition space of Binh Phuoc Cultural Heritage at the Provincial Museum. In the first 6 months of the year, the total number of visitors and interactions was about 299,396 (of which: 16,503 visits to the Provincial Museum; 18,864 visits to mobile exhibitions; 68,296 visits to relics; 195,733 visits through digital technology platforms).

In the field of physical education and sports, successfully organized the Pottery Festival - Hot Air Balloon Festival of Dong Nai province in 2025; organized the Month of physical education and sports activities for everyone and the Olympic Running Day for the health of all people in Dong Nai province in 2025; organized the "Cat Tien Jungle Paths" Running Race 2025 at Cat Tien National Park; organized the launching ceremony for the whole population to practice swimming, prevent and fight against drowning and the competition on methods to prevent drowning in Dong Nai province in 2025... Coordinated and supported the organization of the competitions: The 20th "Back to the War Zone" traditional bicycle race in Vinh Cuu district in 2025 - Donacoop Cup; "Biwase Tour of VietNam 2025" and the 15th Binh Duong International Women's Cycling Tournament in 2025 - BIWASE Cup" through Dong Nai province; The 28th Dong Nai Province Traditional Cross-Country Race in 2025... In the first 6 months of the year, high-performance sports and professional sports in Dong Nai also achieved many results, in which, Dong Nai province teams (old) participated in 70 regional, national and international sports tournaments, winning 368 medals (101 gold medals - 130 silver medals - 137 bronze medals), Binh Phuoc province teams (old) participated in 52 regional, national and international sports tournaments, winning 134 medals (38 gold medals, 31 silver medals, 65 bronze medals). In addition, sports training and coaching were also carried out with certain results.

In the first 6 months of the year, Dong Nai province's tourism achieved some results, in which Dong Nai tourism industry (old) implemented the economic growth target in 2025, focusing on tourism development solutions, the estimated result reached 2,063,000 (of which domestic visitors were 2,001,135, international visitors were 61,865), up 17% and tourism service revenue reached 1,474 billion VND, up 28.2% over the same period in 2024. Binh Phuoc province tourism (old), the total number of tourists reached 826,951, up 8.57% over the same period in 2024, of which: domestic visitors: 817,980, international visitors: 8,971. Total tourism revenue in the first 6 months of the year reached 430.33 billion VND, reaching 48.35% of the yearly plan, up 4.59% over the same period in 2024.

Also according to the report, in the first 6 months of the year, the press and publishing sector of Dong Nai province (old) had many activities: celebrating the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, foreign information activities in 2025, organizing activities to celebrate Book and Reading Culture Day in 2025... Binh Phuoc province (old) organized Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day; online conference to operate the IT-applied broadcasting system; press conference to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the province's Liberation Day and coordinate to organize activities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, propagate the results of socio-economic development, national defense and security; achievements of 28 years of re-establishment of the province; celebrate major holidays; programs and plans for 2025; especially in-depth propaganda about Conclusions 126-KL/TW, 127-KL/TW, Resolution 18-NQ/TW and preparations for Party Congresses at all levels...

Key tasks for the last 6 months of 2025

In the last 6 months of the year, the Dong Nai Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will focus on continuing to implement Resolution No. 33-NQ/TW dated June 9, 2014 of the Central Executive Committee (11th tenure) on "Building and developing Vietnamese culture and people to meet the requirements of sustainable national development"; Resolution No. 12-NQ/TU dated December 12, 2023 of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, 11th tenure "On building and promoting the cultural values and people of Dong Nai to become an important resource and driving force for comprehensive and sustainable development" and Resolution No. 14-NQ/TU dated November 20, 2023 of the Binh Phuoc Provincial Party Executive Committee on building and developing Binh Phuoc culture and people by 2030, with a vision to 2045 in a synchronous and comprehensive manner.

Strengthening State management; continuing to effectively implement administrative reform work of the Department, especially focusing on reviewing and simplifying administrative procedures. Carrying out propaganda on holidays, anniversaries, and political tasks of the country and the province taking place during the month in many rich and diverse forms. Organizing rich and diverse cultural, artistic, sports and festival activities to serve political tasks, serve local people and tourists.

With the key tasks of the cultural sector such as, propagating and organizing cultural, artistic and sports activities: Celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day 02/9, celebrating the 80th anniversary of the founding of the People's Public Security and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection, welcoming the Party Congresses at all levels, the 12th Congress of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee, towards the 14th National Congress of the Party. At the same time, advising the Provincial People's Committee on drafts and resolutions on special mechanisms, policies, compensation regimes, and subsidies for artisans, artists and cadres, people working in the field of culture and arts; Plan to build a team of population collaborators participating in family work, preventing and combating domestic violence; Decision to promulgate the Project on Preserving and promoting the value of the system of historical - cultural relics and scenic spots of Dong Nai province; Decision on regulating expenditure levels for domestic violence prevention and control activities in Dong Nai province. The Department also advised the Provincial People's Committee on the Plan to implement the Strategy for the Development of Vietnam's Sports and Physical Training to 2030, with a vision to 2045 in Dong Nai province; Plan to organize the Opening Ceremony of the 10th Dong Nai Provincial Sports Festival in 2026. Continue to develop the Project "Developing Dong Nai Province's Football to 2030"; continue to organize training courses for sports instructors; support sports activities; organize sports activities for everyone to support and encourage the development of the sports movement in the province. Regarding tourism, continue to implement the tourism stimulus program "Dong Nai - Come to feel".
