Ho Chi Minh City: More than 1,000 outstanding members admitted to the Party in the 2024-2025 school year

On the afternoon of September 25, the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union and the Secretariat of the Vietnam Student Association of Ho Chi Minh City held a conference to review the work of the Youth Union - Association and the youth and student movement in the university, college and intermediate school areas in the 2024-2025 school year; and deploy tasks for the 2025-2026 school year.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Nguyen Thi Tuyet Minh, Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, highly appreciated the positive changes in the work of the Youth Union and Association in schools. In particular, the pioneering and voluntary role of students in political tasks, public administration, new rural construction, urban civilization and environmental protection stood out.

The movements “5 Good Students”, “Outstanding Young Teachers”… were widely deployed, creating a ripple effect. The work of building a strong Youth Union and Association was also focused on. During the school year, more than 21,000 new members were admitted, and more than 100,000 members were developed. Notably, 4,278 outstanding members were introduced to the Party for consideration and admission; 1,075 outstanding members were honored to join the Party.

Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union Ngo Minh Hai and comrade Nguyen Thi Tuyet Minh awarded certificates of merit to collectives and individuals.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Tuyet Minh suggested that in the 2025-2026 school year, the Youth Union and Association at all levels continue to promote education on revolutionary ideals, ethics, and lifestyle for students; diversify volunteer activities, creative movements, and startups; strengthen connections with businesses and high-tech zones to support students in scientific research, technology application, innovation, and participation in building smart cities and adapting to climate change.

He also noted the need to continue improving the quality of training and introducing outstanding union members for the Party to consider and admit.

Units with outstanding achievements received emulation flags at the program.

On this occasion, many collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the 2024-2025 school year were commended and rewarded by the Central Youth Union, the Central Vietnam Student Association and the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union.
