On the evening of May 21, the Gala program and the final ranking night of the 2nd "Bac Son Love Song" contest in 2023 were held in Long An province. Contestant Tran Chau Kim Anh won the Championship prize worth 60 million VND.

The girl born in 2006, from Ward 2, Nga Nam Town, Soc Trang Province, surpassed more than 300 contestants to win first prize with an absolute high score given by the jury of prestigious singers, artists, and journalists.

In season 1 of 2017, Kim Anh competed and was awarded the youngest contestant award. This year, she is determined to participate and reach the championship. "I will always sing Mr. Bac Son's music, because I love the songs he dedicated to life, simple, lyrical but carrying deep love for the countryside" - Kim Anh emotionally spoke after the coronation ceremony.

Singer Bich Thuy - the 9th daughter of the late musician - Meritorious Artist Bac Son - shared: "Through research, I know that since childhood, Kim Anh followed her parents to Ho Chi Minh City to start a career. At the age of 6, she participated in artistic activities at Binh Tan Children's Cultural House and won the 3rd prize of the Young Singing Contest. Kim Anh's forte is folk songs and she can also sing many other genres with a very sweet voice. I am very happy that my father's music has many young contestants participating, proving that folk music is always loved by young people."

Singer Ha Chau - Chairman of the Jury - commented that at the age of 10, Kim Anh first participated in the TV show "Future Idol". Thanks to this competition, Kim Anh gained more experience and improved herself until the age of 11, she participated in the "Super Kid Talent" competition and was lucky to be in the top 3.

After that, Kim Anh also participated in competitions and won awards such as: 3rd prize "Duet family"; Champion of "Nhat Ha" Season 3; First prize "Son Ca's singing voice"; 3rd prize "Children's love song singer"; entered the semi-finals of the "Duet Dinh Nhi" competition and won first prize "Children's music arena" 2019-2020, then "Music arena for teenagers 2022"...

"Thanks to these competitions, Kim Anh was invited to perform by television stations HTV, VTV, Binh Phuoc, Binh Duong. Notably, in this year's competition, Kim Anh performed the song "Chum hoa phoenix nho", a very difficult composition by my father, but she performed it very sweetly, confidently and the performance was very elaborately staged" - singer Ha Chau said.

The jury, including singers Ha Chau, Bich Thuy, Bich Phuong, Meritorious Artist Tam Tam, Artist Thanh Hang, Artist Khanh Tuan, singer Binh Chinh (grandson of the late musician Bac Son)... awarded two second prizes (worth 50 million VND/prize) to two contestants: Bui Kha Duy (song "Con nghe thuong tham"), Dang Thanh Sang (song "Chum bong hoa khe"); two third prizes (worth 40 million VND/prize) to two contestants: Nguyen Tuan Khanh (song "Dieu ru mong man") and Nguyen Ngoc An (song "Dem long nhu bien"). In addition, the organizing committee also awarded 5 secondary prizes and 10 consolation prizes.

This year's contest has spread the love of folk music through the compositions of the late musician - Meritorious Artist Bac Son, while promoting the compositions that have not been published since his death among the more than 600 songs he wrote. A large audience cheered for the contestants on the final night and congratulated contestant Dang Thanh Sang for being awarded the "Contestant voted by the majority of the audience in the final night" with a prize of 5 million VND.
