Việt NamViệt Nam19/09/2023

After the controversy over Tran Thanh taking on the role of Uncle Ba Phi in Dat rung phuong Nam, for the first time the producer revealed his appearance in the film on the official poster.

In the poster, An's image stands out with a bright smile. Behind him are the people who have accompanied him on every journey: Ut Luc Lam (Tuan Tran), his mother (Hong Anh), Mr. Tieu and his daughter - Be Xinh (Tien Luat and Bao Ngoc), and the stork (Do Ky Phong).

A dark sky behind him is to focus on illuminating the boy's face as if to say that the care and sacrifice of the other characters carry the hope that the boy will have a brighter future, just like the way the earth and sky always love and protect the people here.

In addition, the official poster of the film also reveals for the first time the image of Tran Thanh in the image of an old man from the South with a familiar beard and scarf.

Right from the release of the first footage, information surrounding Tran Thanh's role as Uncle Ba Phi in the film created a wave of heated controversy.

However, throughout the project's communication process, the production crew and distributor have never revealed details about his role.

In addition, the appearance of actress Bang Di on the poster with her graceful, coquettish appearance contrasts with Tran Thanh's simplicity. Is this a hint about the roles of these two characters in the film?

In addition to the main characters, there is another special “character” on the poster: the land, forests and rivers of the South. Writer Doan Gioi once described this land in a novel: “Above is the blue sky, below is the blue water, all around is just the green of trees and leaves”.

The film promises to bring many emotions to the audience.

The revelations through the poster promise beautiful footage of the Southern land: rich in nature, rich in humanity. Especially the message: An's journey to find his father is the bridge leading us towards the land and people of the Southern region, full of love and generosity.

Previously, the producer also revealed two supporting characters in the film. Artist Trung Dan - who plays Ut Luc Lam in the TV series will play the role of pawn shop owner Ba Sang.

And the owner of the pawn shop Ba Sang, played by artist Trung Dan, also attracted attention.

Another name that was eagerly awaited was Aunt Tu U - the owner of the bar who had taken An in for a while. Aunt Tu U was a typical Southern woman, enthusiastic and generous. No one came to Aunt Tu's riverside bar and left hungry. And even though An was just a poor little boy, she still loved and cared for him without thinking of any benefits.

Aunt Tu U in the movie Dat rung phuong Nam is played by actress Tuyen Map. She shared: “As soon as I looked at the scene, I told myself that I was Mrs. Tu U in 1920. This is the first time I have been so happy while filming a movie.”

Southern Forest Land revolves around the story of a boy named An (Hao Khang). After parting ways with teacher Bay (Hua Vi Van), An and his mother (Hong Anh) begin their journey south to find their father. After losing their mother while being caught in a protest, An is taken in by Ut Luc Lam (Tuan Tran), who takes care of him and teaches him skills to make a living.

An lost Ut Luc Lam and was alone on a difficult journey to find his father. An's adventure went through the six provinces of the South with beautiful and majestic nature and met warm people with love for their homeland in the early years of the resistance war against the French in the 20th century. They were Mr. Tieu and his son (Tien Luat), little Xinh (Bao Ngoc), Mr. Ba the snake catcher (Cong Ninh), the stork (Do Ky Phong), Tu U (Tuyen Map)...

The film is scheduled to premiere on October 20.
