The delegation was led by Most Venerable Thich Tho Lac - Standing Member of the Executive Council, Head of the Central Cultural Committee, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Nghe An province. Also participating in the delegation were Venerable monks and nuns of the Central Cultural Committee, representatives of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Nghe An province and representatives of the Internal Security Department - Nghe An Provincial Police.

This time, the delegation donated 15 houses worth 60 million VND each to households in especially difficult circumstances, severely affected by floods in My Ly and Tuong Duong communes. Of these, My Ly commune received 7 houses and Tuong Duong commune received 8 houses.

The houses were built with support from contributions from the Central Cultural Committee, the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Nghe An province, the pagodas: Yen Thai, Tu, Dai Tue, Diec and the Internal Security Department of Nghe An Provincial Police.

In addition, the delegation also presented 100 social security gifts to households, each gift including 500,000 VND in cash and essential household items such as pots, pans, bowls, plates... with a total value of about 87 million VND. The total support budget for this period is 987 million VND.

The activity not only contributes to overcoming the consequences of natural disasters but also spreads the values of compassion and relief of suffering of Buddhism, the spirit of "helping each other" of the Vietnamese people.

This is also one of the practical gestures towards building great national unity, especially between religious organizations, armed forces and people in ethnic minority and mountainous areas with many difficulties.
