On December 26, the Ministry of Education and Training organized the summary and award ceremony of the contest "Youth studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style".
The contest is organized annually by the Ministry of Education and Training, and is one of many activities of the education sector to concretize the contents of Directive 05-CT/TW on promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style in an effective, extensive and creative manner. The contest aims to enhance education on revolutionary ideals, morality, lifestyle and arouse the desire to contribute to youth.
This year, 63/63 provinces and cities actively participated; 562 universities and colleges participated. With 2,133,658 candidates registered for the contest, this year's contest had an impressive number of participants. Among the contestants, there were nearly 1.7 million students, nearly 400,000 university students, nearly 40,000 young officials, teachers, and union members. In addition to attracting domestic students, the contest has spread and attracted more than 900 candidates who are studying abroad to participate.
The contest "Youth studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style" in 2023 has spread strongly, attracting a large number of union members, young people, students, and people from all walks of life, cadres, civil servants, and public employees of agencies, units and schools nationwide, and Vietnamese youth and international students living and studying abroad.
In the coming time, the Ministry of Education and Training will continue to research and innovate the organization method in the direction of: expanding the scope, diversifying the forms and levels of answering questions, increasing contact and application so that contestants have the opportunity to directly demonstrate their profound knowledge and creative application ability about the life, career, ideology, morality and style of President Ho Chi Minh. The Organizing Committee will also update and supplement practical issues for the younger generation in perfecting the knowledge and skills of each individual to meet the requirements of the 4.0 industrial revolution, arousing the desire to contribute to youth, teenagers and children so that the contest becomes more practical, effective and attractive.
As a result, this year, 90 outstanding students, staff, teachers and young people were awarded prizes. The Organizing Committee awarded Certificates of Merit from the Minister of Education and Training, Certificates of Merit from the Central Youth Union and Certificates from the Organizing Committee of the competition to the winners.
The Organizing Committee also awarded 10 collective prizes to the Departments of Education and Training, and 20 collective prizes to the universities with the most contestants.
In the final results, in group A, the first prize went to Nguyen Xuan Dat, a student at Chu Van An Secondary School (Tay Ho District, Hanoi). In group B, the first prize went to Nguyen Van Nghia, a student at the People's Police Academy. In group C, the first prize went to Ms. Dao Thi Thuan, a teacher at Nguyen Hue High School (Thai Nguyen Province).
