HNN.VN - On August 21, at La Lay border gate (Quang Tri province), authorized by the People's Committee of Hue city, the Hue City Border Guard Command coordinated with the Military Command of Sekong province (Laos) to organize a gift-giving ceremony to support people in Ta Lui village, Ka Lum district, Sekong province, Laos.

Providing support to households in Ta Lui village

On behalf of the working delegation, Lieutenant Colonel Tran Minh Toan, Deputy Commander - Chief of Staff of Hue City Border Guard sent his regards and encouragement to the government and people of Ta Lui village; at the same time, he presented support to the people with nearly 1,400m² of roofing sheets, rice, fish sauce and some necessities with a total value of 260 million VND supported by Hue City People's Committee.

Ta Lui village is a difficult area of ​​Sekong province, people's lives mainly depend on farming. In April 2025, a major fire broke out here, burning down 35/36 houses, making the already poor people's lives even more difficult, and they are in dire need of urgent support.

The support activities of Hue City not only contributed to helping the people of Ta Lui village overcome the consequences of the fire and soon stabilize their lives, but also strengthened the special solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Laos in general and between Hue City and Sekong province in particular.
