Awarding prizes for competitions at the 9th "For National Security" Sports Congress

On the evening of July 31, the competitions at the 9th “For National Security” Sports Festival and the 6th Public Security Command, Military and Martial Arts Competition, which were organized in 2 phases, officially ended. The Organizing Committee summarized the achievements and awarded prizes in the competitions.

At the People's Security Academy Stadium ( Hanoi City), the final match of 7-a-side Men's Football between the Mobile Police Team and the Lam Dong Provincial Police Team took place.

In the match, Lam Dong Provincial Police Team took a 1-0 lead from the first half, but the Mobile Police Command Team scored an equalizer in the second half. The draw forced the two teams to enter a penalty shootout. The Mobile Police Team won with a penalty score of 6-5.

The Organizing Committee awarded the 7-a-side Men's Football Championship Cup to the Mobile Police Team.

Men's 7-a-side football is also the closing event of the 9th "For National Security" Sports Festival and the 6th Public Security Command, Military and Martial Arts Competition. Previously, on July 30, the organizing committee summarized the achievements and awarded prizes in a series of competitions.

In particular, in Table Tennis, the top position is the Ninh Binh Provincial Police Delegation with 6 Gold Medals, 3 Silver Medals, 6 Bronze Medals; in 2nd place is the Hai Phong City Police Delegation with 3 Gold Medals, 2 Bronze Medals; the Mobile Police Command Delegation is in 3rd place with 3 Gold Medals, 1 Bronze Medal; the Delegation of the Public Security Communications Department is honored to win 1 Gold Medal.

The Organizing Committee awarded the table tennis prize, athlete Nguyen Trang Dung (CAND Communications Department) won the Gold Medal in the men's singles over 46 years old category.

In Chinese Chess, the Hanoi Police Delegation ranked first with 5 Gold Medals, 3 Silver Medals and 1 Bronze Medal; the Dak Lak Police Delegation ranked second with 5 Gold Medals, 2 Silver Medals, 2 Bronze Medals; the Ho Chi Minh City Police Delegation ranked third.

The final of the 7-a-side Men's Football event took place at the stadium of the People's Security Academy.

The 9th "For National Security" Sports Congress and the 6th Public Security Command, Military and Martial Arts Competition will be organized in 2 phases, taking place from August 2024 to August 2025 in 5 localities.

In phase 1, more than 15,000 officers and soldiers from 126 delegations of the Public Security of units and localities participated, competing in 13 subjects with 133 events; up to now, 6/13 subjects have been completed.

In phase 2, the Sports Festival had the participation of 70 delegations, with more than 2,000 athletes; The final round of the Regulations, Military, and Martial Arts Competition had 26 teams, with more than 2,200 officers and soldiers participating.

Tomorrow (August 1), the closing ceremony of the 9th "For National Security" Sports Congress and the 6th Public Security Command, Military and Martial Arts Competition will take place at the People's Security Academy.
