At the meeting, KOICA Deputy Country Director in Vietnam Lee Gunwoo hoped that the project would support people to adapt to the impacts of climate change, improve income and living conditions for coastal people. KOICA hopes to continue receiving the support and companionship of the province to speed up the project progress, striving to complete project-related documents in the fourth quarter of 2025.

This project is very meaningful in the context of climate change negatively affecting Vietnam in general and Quang Tri province in particular.
In order for the project to be implemented on schedule and bring about the highest efficiency, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Hoang Nam, assigned relevant units to continue working with the KOICA expert team to specify the documents to facilitate the project approval process. In particular, it is noted that the documents need to clarify the responsibilities and authorities of each party; pay attention to empowering the authorities in the beneficiary areas; restructure the project operation appropriately and effectively, and quantify the main elements of the project; the project implementation must comply with Vietnamese regulations and the regulations of the donor in the agreement (if any).
