- On the morning of September 17, implementing the direction of the Inter-sectoral Steering Committee on Food Safety and Hygiene (FSH) of Lang Son province and the Department of Industry and Trade, the Market Management Department of Lang Son province chaired a meeting to deploy a plan to inspect food business activities during the Mid-Autumn Festival in 2025.

In the meeting agenda, representatives of member agencies of the Provincial Interdisciplinary Steering Committee on Food Safety and Hygiene and the Provincial Market Management Department discussed the plan for specialized inspections of organizations and individuals producing and trading food products in general; the plan for inspections of establishments producing and trading moon cakes in particular; the plan for inspection, sampling, testing and appraisal of food products and moon cakes; the coordination of inspections by members of the Provincial Interdisciplinary Steering Committee on Food Safety and Hygiene; post-inspection of food safety during the Mid-Autumn Festival in 2025;...

Representatives of the Department of Agriculture and Environment discussed some related contents at the meeting.

It is known that the program to inspect food business activities during the Mid-Autumn Festival in 2025 will be implemented at its peak from September 18 to October 6, 2025. Accordingly, in addition to conducting specialized inspections, the Provincial Interdisciplinary Food Safety Inspection Team will conduct surprise inspections of warehouses, goods gathering points and establishments trading in food products and moon cakes in the whole province.

On September 8, 2025, the Inter-sectoral Steering Committee on Food Safety and Hygiene of Lang Son province issued Official Dispatch No. 3127/CV-BCDLNVSATTP on strengthening food safety assurance during the Mid-Autumn Festival in 2025. Accordingly, the Inter-sectoral Inspection Team focused on prioritizing inspections of establishments producing and trading in popular consumer goods during the Mid-Autumn Festival such as moon cakes, wine, beer, soft drinks, candies of all kinds, etc. Especially for moon cakes, the authorities focused on inspecting and preventing smuggled moon cakes from circulating on the market; focusing on inspecting raw materials for moon cake production at production establishments.
