The 28th Regional Fine Arts Exhibition of V - South Central and Central Highlands

On August 12, at the Provincial Cultural Center, the Vietnam Fine Arts Association (MTVN) coordinated with the Provincial People's Committee to organize the opening ceremony of the 28th Regional Fine Arts Exhibition of the V - South Central and Central Highlands regions in 2023.

Attending the opening ceremony were art critic Mai Thi Ngoc Oanh, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association; painter Nguyen Trung Tin, Vice President of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association, in charge of the Southern region; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee H'Yim Kđoh; leaders of departments, branches and sectors; painters whose works were displayed at the Exhibition and a large number of art lovers...

Taking place from August 12 to 21, the exhibition displays 180 representative works by 165 authors from 9 provinces and cities in the region: Binh Dinh, Quang Ngai, Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai, Kon Tum, Quang Nam , Phu Yen, Da Nang and Dak Lak. Of these, 85 works are by 70 authors who are members of the Vietnam Writers' Association and 95 works are by 95 authors who are members and collaborators of the local Literature and Arts Association.

The organizers awarded the C prize to the authors.

The works participating in this Exhibition were highly appreciated by the Art Council for both content and form, rich in themes, diverse in quality, including majors: Painting, Graphics, Sculpture, Applied Fine Arts... In particular, many young authors participated with creative works, reflecting the reality of daily life and contemporary social issues, in accordance with Vietnamese customs and traditions.

Leaders of Vietnam Fine Arts Association awarded Certificates of Merit to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Dak Lak Literature and Arts Association.

At the opening ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to the works participating in the Exhibition, including: 6 Encouragement prizes, 3 C prizes and 1 B prize. The B prize is also the highest prize at the Exhibition with the work "Green Space" by author Nguyen Van Vinh (belonging to the Gia Lai Provincial Literature and Arts Association). In addition, the Organizing Committee also introduced 13 works by members of the local Literature and Arts Association and local collaborators participating in the National Committee Award of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations.

Delegates cut the ribbon to open the Exhibition.

Dak Lak has the largest number of works displayed in the Exhibition with 29 works by 23 authors; of which 2 works won awards and 2 works were introduced to compete in the National Committee Award of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations.

The work "Green Space" by author Nguyen Van Vinh (left cover) won the B prize at the Exhibition.

On this occasion, the Vietnam Fine Arts Association also awarded Certificates of Merit to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Dak Lak Literature and Arts Association; and awarded the Medal for the Cause of Vietnamese Fine Arts to 9 individuals.

Artists and the public enjoy the works displayed at the Exhibition.

It is known that this is the 5th time Dak Lak province has hosted a regional fine arts exhibition. The 29th V - South Central and Central Highlands Regional Fine Arts Exhibition will be held in Khanh Hoa.
