The public who loves Quynh Thom's paintings are somewhat surprised by the artist's exhibition "Sac Que 5" which took place not long ago, still leaving many good echoes. Yet in just a short time, he continues to introduce 79 impressive paintings.
"Countryside colors" in Quynh Thom's paintings do not stop at the space of his hometown where he was born and raised (Tuan Chinh commune, Vinh Tuong district, Vinh Phuc province, now Tho Tang commune, Phu Tho province) but also images from beloved lands spread across the country. It is an open homeland, felt by the artist with all his delicate observations, with his quiet love for the land and for the people.

In each painting, besides the scenery of bamboo hedges, fields, roofs, ponds, rivers... is the breath of life with the image of loving people, working hard in the fields, warm homes, small paths to go home...
Sharing about the exhibition, artist Quynh Thom expressed: "Each painting to me is a whole memory, a breath of childhood, moments that I lived slowly and lovingly. I was born and raised among bamboo hedges, rice fields, duckweed ponds... The colors of nature are so real, so close. And whether we leave or not, that "countryside color" still lingers in our hearts like a lingering, endless nostalgia."
"Painting is a way for me to preserve the image of my homeland and myself with all my heart, with honest memories and quiet days of observation. Every time I exhibit, I feel myself growing more mature, especially in my emotions. For me, the creative journey never stops as long as my homeland is in my heart and people are there to listen to and understand," the artist shared.

Each countryside in the painting has its own mark and at the same time brings together the image of a unified Vietnamese homeland in the mind, which is the place that preserves the most simple and lasting things of the national soul.
Painting about his homeland, artist Quynh Thom does not simply recreate but creates a journey to cherish and preserve emotions and memories through the beauty of everyday life that is gradually fading away in the midst of modern life. Thanks to that, his paintings are endless, imbued with nostalgia, reminding of the place that used to be a support and source of love.

Born in 1971 in a rural area that still retains the imprint of the Northern countryside, artist Quynh Thom carries within her a source of deep memories. Her homeland is like a source that flows forever in her subconscious, nurturing her artistic soul from childhood until now.
He began his artistic journey very early. From 1988 to 1991, he studied graphic design. Inspired and nurtured with fundamental skills, he entered the world of painting with passion and discipline. After that, he continued studying at the Central University of Art Education, broadening his vision and shaping his artistic style.
Each painting to me is a whole memory, a breath of childhood, moments that I lived slowly and lovingly. I was born and raised among bamboo hedges, rice fields, duckweed ponds... The colors of nature are so real, so close. And whether we leave or not, that "countryside color" still lingers in our hearts like a lingering, unceasing nostalgia." - artist Quynh Thom.
Most of the works in "Country Colors 6" are 76cm x 96cm in size, enough to open up a spacious visual space while still maintaining intimacy and sophistication. In particular, there are works that the artist has expressed with a size of 1.2m x 1.5m like large windows that take viewers straight into the peaceful world of the countryside, where memories and emotions blend in each color and line.

The return of artist Quynh Thom this time is both a continuation and a new step in his passionate artistic journey. If in previous exhibitions, the works made viewers sob with the rustic beauty of the countryside, "Sac Que 6" shows maturity in visual thinking, deeper sedimentation in terms of emotions and expression.
In the opinion of international collectors and tourists, Quynh Thom's paintings bring a unique cultural experience. The beauty of the Vietnamese countryside is not presented as an "exotic landscape" but as a world with a soul, alive, imbued with the depth of time and emotion.
In the meeting of the art council before the exhibition, famous artists assessed that "Sac Que 6" is a bold and sophisticated step forward, showing that Quynh Thom has constantly renewed herself, not completely sticking to the near-realistic expression style, relying on the homeland's scenery to arouse emotions but creating a movement in terms of visual language, bringing abstract elements into the work in a controlled manner.
Therefore, the space in the paintings is no longer the countryside described explicitly but is distilled, condensed, sometimes only a few shapes, a few suggestive color patches. That creates a "countryside color" that needs to be felt with the soul, suspended between reality and dream, between thought and emotion.

The artist has shown the necessary restraint, and at the same time, in important aspects, has become bolder and more flexible. The traditional warm color palette: earth brown, straw yellow, rice green... is now mixed with bright or quiet patches, creating a new, modern visual rhythm.
That shows that the artist does not stand still, satisfied in his own world, but knows how to listen to life, transforming observations into works with a higher generalization about the "countryside soul" of Vietnam.

Through the innovations, a different Quynh Thom emerges: Dare to change to find more depth while the core values from the beginning of his journey in painting are still preserved by him with dedication as a way of life. Famous artists, friends, colleagues and the public always respect him because he is a humble person, always aiming for humane and benevolent values.
It is no coincidence that the paintings of artist Quynh Thom are increasingly attracting the attention of many domestic and international collectors. The value that makes his works have lasting appeal does not lie in the sophistication of technique or visual splendor, but comes from the very unique, humane rustic quality.

For domestic collectors, Quynh Thom's paintings evoke the simple, familiar countryside, where childhood memories included wading in the fields, running on the dikes, listening to the early morning rooster crowing or the smell of damp straw after a rainy afternoon...
Instead of describing her homeland in a nostalgic, framed way, Quynh Thom uses an open expression, combining abstraction, expression and memory, allowing each viewer to see a part of their homeland in it, whether that homeland is in the north, central or south.

In the opinion of international collectors and tourists, Quynh Thom's paintings bring a unique cultural experience. The beauty of the Vietnamese countryside is not presented as an "exotic landscape" but as a world with a soul, alive, imbued with the depth of time and emotion.
It is this simplicity, unconstrained, unpretentiousness, and natural suggestion that makes his paintings stand out in the contemporary art market.

More importantly, many collectors seek out Quynh Thom’s paintings not simply for their aesthetic value, but because they feel the simplicity and emotion in each work. They believe in an artist who lives and paints with all his love for his homeland, and also believe that what originates from sincerity will last.
Each painting that reaches the collector does not stop at a transaction, but it is a resonance of the soul, a way to preserve the memories of the homeland and country together through brushstrokes and also an affirmation of Quynh Thom's personality, love and pride in the flow of contemporary fine art.

Amidst the increasingly noisy and chaotic pace of life, the precious thing is that Quynh Thom still quietly chooses her own path: quiet, persistent and full of kindness. Behind those paintings imbued with the soul of the countryside is a heart open to the community.
For many years, he quietly participated in charity activities, never mentioning what he did... but those who worked closely with him always felt that he had a warm, moving heart.
"Giving is to see that I can live a more beautiful life and have peace in my heart," he once confided simply when refusing to share about his charity activities. The artist also quietly preserves the precious memories of the country's fine arts by collecting works by previous generations of artists.
In the small room, the paintings stained with time mark many names that have faded into the past. He considers them extremely valuable "assets" that still talk to him every day. The artist emotionally confided: "That is my way of showing gratitude and remembering my predecessors. They painted with all their hearts during the most difficult times of their lives and of the nation..."
