High tides continue to cause flooding in Tien Giang

The high tide in early February of the lunar calendar continued to cause flooding on some roads and houses in My Tho City ( Tien Giang ).

Recorded on the evening of March 11, high tides continued to rise in My Tho City. At Trung Luong roundabout, high tides caused flooding, making it difficult for vehicles to pass through.

Similarly, in some areas in Ward 10, My Tho City, the tide continued to rise, causing flooding in alleys and houses. People had to place their belongings and household appliances to avoid flooding and damage.

Mr. Vu (Ward 2, Ward 10) said: "Late last night (March 10), the tide suddenly rose high, we didn't have time to react so the blankets, pillows and many things in the house got wet."

According to the Tien Giang Province Hydrometeorological Station, from now until August 2024, there will be 6 high tides in Tien Giang province.

Of these, there were two high tides from March 10 to 13 and April 9 to 12. The water levels at the stations were much higher than alert level 3. The remaining tides were not high, at approximately the same level and lower than alert level 3.
