Submit to the National Assembly the investment policy for the Lao Cai-Hanoi-Hai Phong railway line

The proposed investment for the Lao Cai-Hanoi-Hai Phong railway route, with a total length of more than 403km, passes through 9 provinces and cities: Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc, Hanoi, Bac Ninh, Hung Yen, Hai Duong and Hai Phong.

According to the program of the 9th Extraordinary Session of the 15th National Assembly , this morning (February 13), the National Assembly continued to discuss in groups the Draft Law on Government Organization (amended); the Draft Law on Local Government Organization (amended) and the Draft Resolution of the National Assembly regulating the handling of a number of issues related to the reorganization of the state apparatus.

In the afternoon, the Minister of Transport , authorized by the Prime Minister, presented the Proposal on the investment policy for the Lao Cai-Hanoi-Hai Phong railway construction project; the Chairman of the National Assembly's Economic Committee presented the Report on the examination of the investment policy for the Lao Cai-Hanoi-Hai Phong railway construction project.

Then, the Minister of Transport, authorized by the Prime Minister, presented the Report on the draft Resolution of the National Assembly on piloting a number of specific and special mechanisms and policies to develop the urban railway network system in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City; the Chairman of the Economic Committee of the National Assembly presented the Report on the examination of the draft Resolution of the National Assembly on piloting a number of specific and special mechanisms and policies to develop the urban railway network system in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

Also on the afternoon of February 13, the National Assembly will discuss in the hall the draft Law on Promulgation of Legal Documents (amended), after which the Minister of Justice will speak to explain and clarify a number of issues raised by National Assembly deputies.

Previously, at the opening session on the morning of February 12, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man said that in this extraordinary session, the National Assembly will consider and approve 07 Resolutions to promptly remove difficulties and obstacles to promote the country's socio-economic development and specific mechanisms and policies for a number of projects and works such as: Supplementary project on socio-economic development in 2025 with a growth target of 8% or more; investment policy for the Lao Cai-Hanoi-Hai Phong railway project; specific and special mechanisms and policies to develop the urban railway network system in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City by 2035...

The National Assembly will also consider and approve the plan to invest in additional charter capital for the 2024-2026 period of the parent company - Vietnam Expressway Corporation; Resolution on piloting a number of policies to remove obstacles in science, technology and innovation activities; policies and specific policy mechanisms to build nuclear power plants in Ninh Thuan..../.
