(Dan Tri) - Many ancient documents about the ancient Mid-Autumn Festival are being displayed at the Old Quarter Cultural Exchange Center at 50 Dao Duy Tu, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi.
Many activities within the framework of the event "Traditional Mid-Autumn Festival 2023" are being held in Hanoi's Old Quarter. At the Old Quarter Cultural Exchange Center (50 Dao Duy Tu, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi), many traditional Mid-Autumn toys are being displayed, especially ancient documents about the old Mid-Autumn Festival.
The exhibition space "Returning to the old Mid-Autumn Festival" is organized by the Management Board of Hoan Kiem Lake and Hanoi Old Quarter in coordination with National Archives Center 1, Department of State Records and Archives.
Nearly 80 documents, materials and images used in this exhibition space will take viewers back in time to understand the Mid-Autumn Festival rituals in the ancient Royal Palace as well as return to the bustling atmosphere of drum beats, with the brilliant lanterns, star lanterns... of the streets of old Hanoi.
Dating back hundreds of years, these documents not only help us better understand the ancient Mid-Autumn Festival, but also show that through the ages, children's Mid-Autumn Festival is still cared for and valued (Photo source: Institute of Social Science Information).

The colorful stalls of Hang Gai Street with statues of monks, small palanquins made of colored paper, clusters of animal-shaped balloons... create a colorful picture.
Currently, the Mid-Autumn Festival space at the Old Quarter Cultural Exchange Center attracts many visitors, especially children. Many schools around Hanoi have organized field trips so that students can feel the atmosphere of the Mid-Autumn Festival in the past.
Ms. Bich Sinh, a teacher at Le Loi Secondary School (Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi) led students in class 7A1 to the Old Quarter Cultural Exchange Center for a tour. Ms. Sinh said: "This is an opportunity for children to experience and understand more about the history of the Mid-Autumn Festival. This year, the Organizing Committee has invested quite a lot in decorating, bringing the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival atmosphere, so the children will really like it."
"Here, children will be introduced to the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival, experience making to he figurines, and answer questions about the Mid-Autumn Festival," Ms. Sinh continued.

Le Truong Duong (left), a 7A1 student at Le Loi Secondary School, seemed quite excited when looking at the photos recreating the Mid-Autumn Festival atmosphere in old Hanoi.
"Through these images, I understand more about the childhood of previous generations. I also hope that this year's Mid-Autumn Festival, my family will take me to Hang Ma Street to buy traditional toys instead of many modern toys," Duong shared.
